So why does this travel pillow cost $50, while others are priced in the $15-$20 range? I don't think the shape nor the strap costs $30... come on!
Can you run the strap across the front instead of over the front? Would like the option if I'm just getting comfortable but not sleeping.
Is the chin strap worth the extra $10 price difference from the previous one?
How well does this pillow work for short people (5 ft)? Does it push your head forward?

If you buy used, it can be washed!

I saved a few dollars and purchased this in Like New condition - probably an Amazon return. The item itself was great but it had a fragrance that's probably from whatever Amazon sprays on returns to sanitize them. It was bothersome to me (I'm very sensitive to fragrances with pronounced allergies to some) and I considered returning the item until I figured out I could wash it. Put the cover and case through with the laundry and hung them to dry, then hand rinsed the foam pillow itself. Looks like it took care of the smell! One thing also to consider is that though this seems like a super comfy pillow, I'm not able to wear it with headphones, so will likely just stick in the earplugs when it's time to sleep.Also... You should store this unrolled. If left rolled for more than a month, it might not bounce back completely (this caution is printed on the inside of the storage case).

Comfort and convenience

I used this on a long flight to Iceland recently and loved the support and comfort. For the first time ever, I was actually able to sleep pretty comfortably in an upright position on an airplane. I loved the carrying pouch that this pillow folds into as well, I was just able to clip it onto my backpack, it didn't take up extra room inside my bag, and was still very convenient to carry.

Loved it on the red-eye!

This pillow did very well for me on a couple of 8 and 9 hour overnight flights. It squishes well into the convenient little carrying case that comes with it (I was shocked it fit, actually), it's really soft and comfortable yet it is very strong support for holding your head up. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the chin strap is too far out (for my chin to reach, anyway), but I guess it helps hold the two ends in place, and the raised sides kept my mouth closed anyway. I slept well while wearing it, and if I had any doubt about how good it was, I dozed off at one point without it and woke up with a sore neck - I put it on anytime after that if I felt a snooze coming on!

My new secret tip for Economy Class

So you wanted to pay for a business class ticket to get a nice sleep? Think again, because this is my secret travel tip. With this neck pillow, I easily sleep on the whole transatlantic flight to Europe without waking up once. It's super comfortable and my neck pain is a story of the past. I love it and tell people on the flight not to buy the overpriced pillows at airports, but get these before they fly away

Caused more pain, didn't fit large neck well

Bought this for a 9 hour flight. I've never tried a neck pillow before so this was my first one to try based on reviews. It Packs up well Into a small carrying case. Comes with silicone ear plugs but it's still a bit expensive for what it is.It doesn't fit my large neck very well and I'm not very overweight ( I just have a big neck). The chin strap is nice as is the seat strap... However because I'm also a bit taller the seat strap wouldn't stay well and would slide down pulling my neck awkwardly. I just couldn't get into a comfortable position on the plane. I think I nodded off for about an hour or two but woke up in a ton of neck pain I ended up just putting this pillow away and using the airline pillow. For 50 bucks I expected more. It also is quite warm but then again I think all neck pillows would befor me.Anyways, not a terrible neck pillow just not right for me. I think if I had a smaller neck or was shorter it would work better. I returned it.

Best neck pillow!

Best neck pillow. Secured it under my neck, and it kept my head from flopping forward. Was on a 12 hours flight; slept well and no waking up to a twisted and sore neck! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!I DO NOT SUGGEST ATTACHING THE REAR STRAP TO THE HEADREST AS IT FEELS LIKE A NOOSE WHEN YOU LEAN FORWARD.

Great product for the plane

It hugs your neck and provides a lot of support. Some might not like that restrictive feeling and how it really wraps around your whole neck, but I loved how it firmly held your neck upright. Used it on a 15 hour flight and was able to sleep comfortably. Getting into the carrying case is tough at first, but you figure it out.

The Cadillac of Travel Pillows – Game-Changer for Long Flights

Let me set the scene: you’re on an 8-hour flight, neck craned at an unnatural angle, trying to find the sweet spot between comfort and suffocation. That used to be my life - until I found the Cabeau The Neck’s Evolution Pillow. It’s not just a travel pillow; it’s a revolution in neck support. I’ve tried countless travel pillows over the years, but this one has been a complete game-changer.Comfort Like No Other:This pillow feels like a memory foam hammock for your neck. Seriously. The 360-degree support cradles your head so perfectly that it eliminates the infamous airplane neck flop. The straps that attach to your chair are a GENIUS addition, keeping the pillow securely in place no matter how much you shift around. It’s the ultimate solution for those of us who just want a bit of dignity while sleeping in public.Pros (and a Few Things to Note):• Insanely Comfortable: The memory foam is top-tier—firm yet cushy enough to feel luxurious.• Compact and Travel-Friendly: It compresses down super small, making it easy to pack in your carry-on.• Breathable Option Available: If you’re someone who overheats easily, consider their breathable model (because yes, this one can get a bit warm if you’re on the sweaty side like me).• In-Ear Headphones Only: Heads up—this doesn’t play nice with bulky over-ear headphones. Stick to earbuds for a seamless experience.• Durability Concerns: The straps that attach to the chair are brilliant but require some TLC. If you’re rough on your gear, they could snap. Why I Keep Coming Back:I’ve owned multiple versions of this pillow, and each time, they’ve made thoughtful improvements. From better foam to more secure straps, it’s clear Cabeau is committed to making the ultimate travel companion.Final Thoughts:If you’re someone who travels frequently or just wants a reliable neck pillow for gaming or home use, this is the one to get. It’s not flawless (hello, headphone and heat issues), but the comfort and support far outweigh the minor drawbacks. My neck has never been happier, and I can’t wait to see how they keep innovating. Trust me, once you use it, you’ll wonder how you ever survived without it.
