How firmly are the eyes attached to the bear? I would have preferred a bear with embroidered face but there doesn't seem to be many available

They seem fine. I’ve not experienced any problems. It’s a delightful bear, very soft and cuddly.

Do the legs straighten out on this bear?

He is quite a soft bear and his legs will straighten out if you lie him down. I don't think he will stand up though, he is just deliciously cuddly.
