So far have only used it to tow an empty 3 axel trailer about 120 miles, but the trailer itself is quite heavy. The trailer has a 3 inch lunette and it dropped right in to the hook with no grinding or adjustments needed. As other reviewers have noted it's a very heavy, beefy hitch which is just what you want if you're towing a heavy trailer over distance at highway speeds. Honestly, it's what you probably want anyway - better to have a stronger hitch than you need that the opposite and most trailers that use this kind of hitch are designed for heavy loads anyway. This is a great hitch. If I needed another I would buy this exact one again and would recommend anyone else do the same. I'll update the review after I've used it to tow a tractor around a couple of times. --- I forgot to update this review but after a few years and a good bit of use it's lost a little paint but otherwise it's as good as new. I cannot imagine this hitch ever being a point of failure. The only problem I've had with it is that the buddy I lent it to doesn't seem to be in a hurry to return it.
