Hozelock 3003 Easyclear 3000 Pond Fountain Pump, UVC and Filter

The pump is now clearing the dense green water, so I can see the bottom in the shallow end, and the fish. I installed the pump about 2 weeks ago. When I took the pump out of the pond a couple of days ago, and opened up the filter cage, it was a mass of slimy mud, so is doing its job in filtering out the algae and debris. The two blue coarse filters cleaned easily under the tap , as did the other filter bags with plastic bits and small 'pebbles', it took no more than 5 minutes with the pump out of the water. The three varities of fountain heads work well, and am currently using the 'bell' as it makes the least splashing noise. I did take the pump apart and put it together again when out of the box before it got wet and dirty, to learn how to, it is easy to dismantle and access the various internal bits, and is very simple and quick to open the cage to extract all the filters to clean. For the 18 months before buying this pump, I had blanket weed and algae green water problems. I had used barley extract which worked on the blanket weed, and more recently a liquied to help with the algae, but the pump and its UV light do seem to have worked in clearing the alge / debris out of the water. Its the only pump, filter, UV light ect in my pond (2 by 3 meters, and 0.85 meters at deepest). There are now 12 goldfish and 2 koi in the pond. At some point I intend to build a small warefall and use the dual option on this pump to run both fountain and waterfall. A good product that does what it says. Recommended.

Second Hozelock Easyclear I’ve bought, first one ran for years no issues, easy to clean, keeps pond clear. These are great pumps, just need to keep an eye on the bulbs and replace when needed.

Went for this one because it did waterfall and fountain. It certainly seems to be doing the job and the fountain is quite spectacular. Can turn the fountain or waterfall down, would have liked to be able to turn one or the other off but dont seem to be able to shut one or the other down! So bit of a waste if you wanted one or the other, the 6000 would have done but I would have had to keep switching the pipe, so if you want both you need this one. Update Uv light needs replacing quite frequently, every three months and the unit stopped working after shorting the electric. Seller replaced no problem however 2 years later it’s gone again. Shorted the electric and will not work again. Seems to have a fault connected to the UV bulb but exactly what I have no idea. 3 1/2 years later We now need a new pump as out of guarantee. It was a lovely effect while it lasted.

This is a really well made and sturdy piece of kit. So easy to install and to clean, couldn't be simpler. A word of advice , when you are cleaning the filters etc , you need to take a half bucket of water from the pond , NOT the tap as the chlorine in tap water kills off the bacteria that build up in the filter that are necessary to keep the water clear. After that mistake cost me a coupe, of weeks the pond is clearing nicely. The pond was in a pretty poor state and the pump/filter had its work cut out for it. So, it's now been working (properly) for two weeks and I'm very pleased. Clean the filters regularly , honestly is a 3 minute job. I recommend this product. Delivery was very prompt, far faster than I expected. Update: the pond is now crystal clear . Very happy this this product ......

Excellent product, speedy delivery.

Had an expensive set up that took a lot of maintenance to keep working. This replaced that multiple part set up. Really clear water. Unfortunately stopped working in October - 6 months after installation and kept blowing the fuzes in the house. Got it out in March to find water in the bulb housing. I will try to return it.

Excellent pump that has cleaned my small murky pond. It's easy to set up and operate. I changed the cable to an armoured version as it is buried across my lawn and I also needed an extra 2m to reach. It would have been 5 stars but small pond life such as little creatures that look like water versions of wood lice are able to get into the pump and then block the spout outlet - I need to unblock it daily as the water flow reduces to almost zero. I've tried to put my own mesh grill in to stop the little critters but it has had limited results. It would be much better if the pump casing was designed with smaller diameter inlets or had its own mesh attached.

I use this as a geezer . Really helps keep water clear . You still need lots of plants to oxygenate water . It won’t work on its own . It is very worth having this pump . This is my third one in 20 years and would buy another . Clean sponges every week if you want it to last . Also get replacement sponges every year .

Hallo, da dies meine erste ausführliche Rezension ist, bitte ich kleine Fehler zu übersehen. Da ich den Filter am 27. Juli 2018 bekommen habe, sind meine Erfahrungen knapp 2 Monate alt. Ich fühle mich wirklich genötigt, diese Rezension zu schreiben; jahrelang habe ich mit einem großen renommierten Aussen-Teichfilter herumgeprügelt. Er war unhandlich und schwer zu reinigen. Die Plastik Bio-Medien (?) haben auch den Ausfluss verstopft und die Pumpe hat das Wasser aus dem Filter ins Freie befördert. Grund für mich diesen Bericht zu schreiben. Mein Teichwasser (ca. 3000 l / 3 Koi's / 5 Goldorfen) ist mit dem alten Filter schon lange nicht mehr "klar" geworden. (Bevor jetzt Tierschützer meckern; ich habe den Teich so mitgekauft). Also musste eine neue Lösung her. Das "auspumpen" des Wassers durch einen verstopften Filter kann mit einem Innenfilter nicht geschehen. Meine Wahl fiel auf den Hozelock. Die Lieferung kam schnell und da ich wissen wollte wie das Gerät funktioniert, habe ich es auseinander genommen. Die Pumpe (1) liegt innen und grobe Partikel müssten sich durch den Schaumstoff kämpfen um die Pumpe zu verstopfen. Leider habe ich keine Fotos von dem auseinander genommenen Filter. Allerdings muss man lediglich 3 Schrauben lösen um das Gehäuse auseinander zu nehmen und an die Pumpe zu gelangen. Die Anleitung ist klar gegliedert und einfach zu verstehen. Lediglich die Stelle, an der das Kabel aus dem Filter geführt wird, könnte sich mal als Schwachstelle entpuppen, weil das Plastikgehäuse sich in das Kunststoff des Kabels eingedrückt hat. Vielleicht hätte man da mit einer Gummilippe noch nachhelfen können. Nun ja, man nimmt das Gerät ja nicht so oft komplett auseinander. Die UVC-Lampe lässt sich ebenso einfach wechseln (wenn man der Anleitung folgt). Der eigentliche Knaller ist allerdings das reinigen. Auf dem 2. Bild sieht man die 2 silbernen Kunststoffknöpfe, die man drücken muss um den Deckel abzunehmen. (Gerade für Senioren - Gruß an meine liebe Nachbarin - ist das absolut einfach) Danach nimmt man den ersten Schaumstoff-Filter hinaus gefolgt von den Plastik-"Biomedien" im Plastiknetz. Darunter kommt nochmal eine Lage Schaumstoff und dann ein kleines Säckchen mit kleinen Kieseln. Diese reinigen (z.B. mit Schlauch abspritzen - oder wer mag mit Teichwasser), dann wieder einsetzen, Klappe drauf fertig. Es hat bei mir etwas über eine Woche gedauert (ich habe den Filter täglich gereinigt), aber dann wurde der Teich von Tag zu Tag klarer. Ganz ehrlich .... ich brauche für das Reinigen keine 5 Minuten. Ich reinige den Filter zur Zeit jeden 3. Tag. Ich kann das Gerät ganz getrost empfehlen. * * * * * U P D A T E 13.10.2018 * * * * * Ich reinig den EasyClear jetzt nur noch alle 14 Tage. Artikel kam gut und sicher bei mir an. Von diesem Verkäufer jederzeit gerne wieder. Man sieht dem Gerät schon an, dass es von fester Machart ist (im Gegensatz zu TIP) und seine Zwecke gut erfüllen kann.

Per carità, ci mette un po' a pulire davvero l'acqua, come precisato nelle istruzioni, ma basta aver pazienza e poi si avrà VERAMENTE un bel laghetto limpido!

é la seconda pompa che compro, la prima è durata 8 anni , ora ha la girante rotta, ma esiste un pezzo di ricambio ( un po' caro). Avrei preferito ancora il funzionamento con trasformatore in modo da non avere 220v in acqua. Vuol dire che occorrerà stare molto attenti a staccare la spina prima di fare la manutenzione del laghetto.
