Most realistic racing controller I’ve used!
If you love racing games like me and you can’t have a racing wheel for space constraints then this is a really fun alternative. I tend to have my finger to the right side of the wheel when turning right and move it quickly to the left when turning left. Once you get your rhythm and technique it soon becomes second nature. Highly recommend for any sim racing fan.

Best controller for driving games ever
I have over a dozen higher end controllers from the best manufacturers. I play mainly racing sims. I have a good quality racing wheel and pedals but cannot use them do to ill health, so hand held controllers are a must for me. The new Thrustmaster mini wheel attachment to this controller is a real game changer. With minimal effort is is easy to control a car in a more precise and realistic feeling way than any controller I have ever had. No, this is not a gimmick. It feels so natural to steer and gives a similar sensation to an actual steering wheel by only using the edge of your thumb. I urge all driving game players who have tried everything but are still not satisfied to try this. I think all hand held racing controllers will be like this within a couple of years.

Best but also the worst
Best controller i have ever used as far as precision but i have to give it a 1 star review purely due to this being my 3rd one and within days the thumbsticks started to strafe. Its the worst build quality i have ever seen for thumbsticks breaking which is a real shame as its the best precision i have seen in a thumbstick. I had to send 1 back then got another 1 then got the forza edition. Out the 2 controllers 3 of the thumbsticks strafe. If they improved the build so the thumbsticks dont strafe within a few days of using and made the controller not break easy then id say 5 star but until they fix these issues its a 1 star from me purely because after days of purchasing the thumbsticks will strafe

Well-built controller, first impressions
Posting this an hour after receiving the control to record my initial thoughts, will try to provide updates at one week and one month. I'm mostly basing my 5 stars on the build quality. I feel that other aspects that determine how much you like a controller can be pretty subjective. What I want to give are my initial thoughts, the important things that strike me about the controller compared to others. First is that the controller is quite large. Xbox controllers are kind of known for their size, and Thrustmaster really heard that and said "Hold my beer" on this one. For me personally this isn't a problem because my hands are very large (the long, thin finger type) but it gives me the feeling that it's *borderline* a problem, which is remarkable since I've rarely met anyone with hands larger than my own. I think that if you have small hands, you will feel like an 8-year old holding this controller.

A gimmick
I saw this particular controller on Hoki Hoshi's channel and was immediately taken with the idea of it, especially as I wanted an Elite style controller for my Series X anyway. So I bought it, spur of the moment. By the way, in case you don't know, the main selling point of this controller is that it has a small wheel module that you can swap with the left analogue stick and use for controlling cars in racing games. It's specifically tailored towards Forza Horizon 5 apparently, which happens to be a game I've spent a stupid amount of time playing and am pointlessly, embarrassingly good at. So that's the selling point. A few things became apparent when I started using it however: - the amount of travel on the wheel is tiny. From videos I'd assumed that it would rotate at least once, maybe twice or thrice depending on settings, so you could have 1080 steering. 1080 steering is what you get on a proper sim wheel, and the idea of having a replica of that in thumbsize form was appealing(although not particularly workable - but still, I was curious.). The amount of travel it actually has? 90 degrees. A quarter of a turn of the tiny wheel. I'm being totally honest here: I don't think it has any more travel or sensitivity than the analogue stick itself. I mean it when I call it a gimmick. - it's wired. This is bewildering and obscene for a wheel that costs 170 quid. I'm awed at how good a job they did of selling it to suckers like me too, because it appears to be identical to the previous 'elite' controller by Thrustmaster, only with the(pathetic) wheel module and a hideous paint job. It doesn't look premium. It looks ugly. But the main problem is with the wheel module. It gives you no finer control than an analogue stick. There are a few reasons for this. Firstly the travel is almost indistinguishable in amount from the travel you get with an analogue stick. It just looks like more travel because the relatively large-looking wheel is sat on a much smaller plate, and it's that plate that controls things. The plate itself is invisible because the wheel is almost flush with the controller. You can only see the plate when you hold the controller side-on. Secondly the deadspots in the analogue control for racing games don't disappear when you use this wheel. They're still there. It could be a full-size wheel with 1080 steering, but if it's being filtered through the software(the software of whatever racing game you're playing) that's meant for an analogue stick it's going to ignore any extra sensitivity. Analogue sticks do not have much sensitivity, and this wheel just uses the software that analogue sticks use. People claim their lap times have improved slightly in certain games after buying this wheel. I am confident that this is a mental illusion. They're kidding themselves, because this really doesn't do anything the basic analogue stick doesn't already do. To sum this depressing experience up: do not buy this controller. It's an absurdly expensive, ugly, basic, wired item that adds nothing to the driving experience except the placebo effect of greater control. The Series X Elite 2 is out there and does everything this does and more, only without the pointless, plastic Oreo that is this controller's sole gimmick. I've given it 2 stars because it functions okay as a controller and the swappable elements are quite cool. Also you can reprogram it, possibly. Google that, it might not be right, I can't be bothered checking, I just want to write this review as a warning and move on. Pretend I never bought it. Maybe drive out to the countryside, somewhere quiet, hurl the thing into the bushes, then run.

Superb
Not a big fan of the special wheel so far, but perhaps will take more getting used to. Overall, though, there’s no doubt that this is a top quality piece of kit. Expensive, but I suppose you get what you pay for and I’m glad I bought it.

the idea is fantastic, but within only a few months it has very severe stick drift :/ I even tried just removing the stick so it wouldn't effect the game, but that disables the controller fully. moving on from that, I loved using it, but the limitation of only 90 degrees of rotation is very limiting. The build quality is also very creaky... other controllers will creak if you stress them, but this does it instantly. Not to mention that the plastics look and feel very cheep :(
