At the time I purchased this, it was £39.99.I have used Fissler products in the past, and love their quality.For the price, I felt this was a bargain. Wife loves it, solid quality feel to it.Highly recommended.

Tinny resonance
The advertising describes this Fissler 6.8L stockpot as heavy guage steel , the guage is not specified even on the Fissler website. If you ping this pot with your finger , you get a very unreassuring tinny resonance, it is the sort of sound which makes you think " if this lands badly if I drop this on side, it could dent or deform " , quality pots ( e.g Bourgeat) do not sound tinny or feel like this , My guess is they are trying to keep this much cheaper Fissler line differentiated from their similarly sized professional line, which is twice or three times more expensive, whilst at the same time capitalising on the reach of their brand by selling a cheaper build merely adequate product, frankly I have purchased much better for cheaper.There are some pots which possess a certain design and build quality which when you think about whether to use them , the end result almost seems predestined for success , for me this pot does not have that weird magic.I have to say I do like the lid, it is solid and well made and also what I was after for use with another pot.When scouring Fissler's website for details of this item , I had to wade through many pages of products , in doing so I came to the opinion that Fissler buys in other manufacturers product to then slap its own brand on them.I have had more than 1 Fissler pot, I previously have found them to be properly made , excellent and have lasted decades.

Fine Product...just too large for my needs.
My mistake, I misjudged the size of this pot. As I have had similar pots from Fissler, I know it is a versatile product, that holds up well to high or low heat cooking.
