Very happy, no issues, & I recommend.
I used this to seal my fireplace insert just around, but under the edges so it would be hidden. Yes, it can separate or rip easily as most reviews state, but mine did not as I knew to be gentle & take my time. The backing to peel for the strip can be difficult, but it wasn’t for me as I have fingernails. The fit was perfect. It was easy to use. Once the product “puffed up,” I could easily still squeeze it behind, making a perfect seal. The stickiness worked well for me as I was placing it onto metal. Many reviews scared me, but if you take your time & be gentle, you should have no problems. It definitely sealed my wind draft coming through. Recommend this product.

Product was precisely what was needed for the application. It was easy to use attached well and should seal as needed.

2 persons for installation.
One the glass doors is out of alignment. Played with the screw adjustments and improved it slightly. Not that noticeable and not worth replacing it. Otherwise it looks good. It definitely is a 2 person installation.

Works great to seal fireplace doors to stone.
I was getting a major back draft from my chimney. I purchased this to block off the area between my fireplace doors and the stone wall. It was pretty simple to use. Initially getting the tape off the insulation is difficult but once done the rest is easy. It is simple to cut to size and adheres well to the metal doors. It has really helped solve the back draft problem that we have been having.

Product was kinda thin and the adhesive didn't work well at all.. it was enough insulation for a standard fireplace and easy to install, i think the quality could have been better

Does not work.
The self adhesive does not work. Tape stays with the backing and all that’s left is fluff that is supposed to be the insulation. Save your money. This does not work in anyone’s wildest imagination. Big waste of money. Doesn’t rutland products test this stuff before selling to the public?

Very good to insulate glass door metal frame for gaps against brick.
Insulated fireplace glass door frame nice and tight. Caution, make sure you have your dimensions right. The sticky tape when separated isn’t the stickiest but a dab of crazy glue sufficed. I attached the insulation with entire frame detached from front of fireplace and it was perfect. They should add a dark colour option. I was short 8” and used Rock Wool Insulation with a dab of crazy glue. Could have done same job with Rock Wool since it is fireproof as well.
