Originally I bought this for my elderly mother but I find myself borrowing from her to use myself. She uses for playing some games on her tablet and phone, to reading books and information on her medication bottles, and anything else she needs magnified. I have been using to build miniatures and other craft projects. The lights are very bright and helpful. The lights can be used by battery or with the cord it comes with. And you can easily switch from battery to charge just by pushing switch in opposite direction. It can be worn around the neck or fold down the attached supports to stand it on a table. The magnifier is lightweight but feel sturdy. Will definitely be purchasing myself one instead of continuously borrowing the one I bought for my mother.

Great brightness and decent magnification. I do lace crafts and this helps me see in our dim livings room at night. The neck strap is very flexible and comfortable.

Does not magnify.
This does not magnify 4X...maybe 1.5X at most with a lot of distortion. In addition to not working it is very flimsy and feels as if the legs will break every time you try to move them.
