Just the right amount out difficulty to stimulate the brain, without being overwhelming.
I bought this for an elder with vascular dementia, which gets frustrated if things are "too hard" and doesnโt have a very high education level. It's just hard enough to stimulate the brain without being too overwhelming. There are several levels, and multiple cards to make the game play different each time. It's meant to be set up with the elder as the "player" and someone as a guide. You need good quality of light while "playing". I've found if the lights are dim/you're just using sunlight/windows while playing, the red/orange and the blue/green can be mistaken for each other by the player, which can cause embarrassment or distress and frustration. The colors are definitely different, and you can tell them apart with good lighting, but I know a lot of seniors homes are dim with yellow light. The storage box is sturdy. The blocks are large, slightly textured, thick, and easy to clean. It seems high quality, and appears meant to last. The only thing I wish is that it didnt say on the box/in the paperwork it's for seniors with dementia/alzheimers. I think it's ok to advertise the games like that, but the box should stick with things like "brain stimulating" or "concentration helping" etc. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and plan to get other games from their company.

LOVE THIS PRODUCT FOR SLP THERAPY
What I can tell you about this product is that every day since receipt of the product, it has been in use working with patients with cognitive impairment,-mostly Dementia. And mostly at the later stages of Dementia when you have to focus on lower level activities they still can do,-such as sorting and matching, etc., This product is AWESOME. It is easy to use, has great, bright coloring on all the tiles and matching boards. You can use this product in so many ways from a single person matching activity to a game and other fun things. I work with one other SLP, and if I donโt have this product out and using it,-she probably does. We are using it a lot in our Sensory Integration treatment for Dementia, and just loving it. It stimulates and calms the patients all at the same time, and if the patient is already overstimulated,-I just place this down in front and calmly start working. 90% of time this works to engage even without the complexity of verbal exchange. Can you tell I love this product? Because I really do.

Great product for people with dementia
I was afraid that my husband, who has dementia, wouldn't use this puzzle, but we keep on the island in the kitchen and he uses it often. There are 70 some different puzzles to recreate, and they are tough enough to challenge him, but not so difficult as to be frustrating for him.

Great game for dementia patients; only drawback is that the green colors are mismatched and too dark
This is a great game for dementia patients. The dominoes are oversized and the dots are colored according to number (e.g., all sixes are red). It comes in a nice box that can be used to store the dominoes and the pattern cards. I do wish the dominoes were made of a heavier material. They're a bit light for their size and a heftier material would feel better in the hand. The primary drawback to this game, however, is that the green colors are mismatched and too dark. The green color on the dominoes is too dark, but is still recognizable as green. The green on the cards, however, looks black. This confused my mom to the point where she couldn't do any pattern having dominoes with fours (green) on them. So, I'm going to repaint the greens on both the dominoes and the cards with a consistent and lighter color green to see if that helps.

Good quality and fun
A fun brain teaser to do instead of watching TV. Perfect for any age and great exercise for a senior brain.

Wonderful activity for my mother with dementia and hearing loss
The Keeping Busy Tile Matching Game far exceeds my expectations for quality of the tiles, the color sheets, the box they fit in, and even the outer packaging. My mother reads everything I give her, and the clear, gentle description on the box cover doesn't mention dementia and so doesn't cause her any stress or confusion. At first she couldn't understand that sometimes a piece needs to be flipped over to fit into the space, but I was pleased to find that when we played at my next visit two weeks later she had learned to do that. We only used the fully colored sheets the first several times, but then I began giving her the ones with white spaces, and soon she was able to figure those out as well. I sit with her and offer a thumbs-up when she fits a piece in properly, or quietly take one out again if she has gotten stuck. It's great to see her smile and be amazed at herself when she completes a tray. That is worth almost any price. My only complaint, as others have probably said, is that the navy blue color is too close to black, and the two greens are not different enough in hue. But we have learned to deal with that, since the tiles are thick and weighty, and the laminated sheets fit nicely into the box frame. Thank you for this excellent product.

Great Game, Inspires Thinking
The Keeping Busy Tile Matching game proved an excellent gift for our friend, who was experiencing memory loss. He began playing it and wanted to continue playing it. At first, he mentioned it was challenging, but after a few rounds, he began to feel more at ease with it. After playing the game for a while, his language and cognitive issues improved. This game is a great value for the money, the colors make the game fun. This game would be beneficial for any age group, with or without memory issues.

Colors on the tiles didn't match the cards
Great concept of game to play with people who have dementia. Multiple levels. However the mismatching colors can make it very frustrating for someone with cognitive decline. There is no reason they couldn't have made the colors match! I like the colors for added cues but would rather they have been black and white then mismatched!

Hi, I received my order yesterday. When I open up and checked my content, I only have 4 Bags of Tiles, 4 square Templates in the Tile Bags. But there is no square black template and no 2 double-sided templates. I saw one empty plastic bag that was cut open and nothing is inside the bag. I would like to ask whether it is the used items? and the content is not complete. Please look into this. thanks

My 88-year old mother has moderate-to-severe dementia and this game works very well for her. It keeps her busy and entertained for hours. It's a good balance: not too difficult but also not too trivial for her to keep her brain active. Her eyesight is not very good and she can't play many other games which require good vision. This game however has large enough tiles that it can be played even with less-than-ideal vision. I highly recommend it.

This is an excellent 'game' for people living with dementia. It has easier and more challenging components. My 89-yr old mother loves to play this. She has such a satisfied and triumphant look on her face when she completes it
