Abu Garcia Smokers - Smoke Dust

I thought this was great value and I have smoked Salmon,Pork Belly, Chicken, peppers,cheese, chillies, tomatoes asparagus,ice etc. Everything has came out great. Its also very good value compared to competitors. I use it with a Pro Q spiral and I get 12 Hours of smoking time per fill. Reckon 1 bag will give you about 7 12 hour smoking sessions. I woukd like to know what type of wood they use. Thats the only minus.

All you need is a table spoon folded inside a square of foil. This is all my trout smoker needs. This will last for ages and the trout taste fabulous

Really good but for a small bag of sawdust its expensive. Would I buy again, probably if there isnt another choice.

This smoking dust is BEECH wood, others seem to think that it is a mixture of woods but the packet explicitly says that it is beech. It gives a nice general smokey flavour, have tried with mackerel and works well. Make sure that you don't put too much in the smoker though, just a tablespoonfull over each of the places where each burner goes. Also ensure that you leave your ventilation holes open to avoid the bitter taste. Overall very pleased and will be trying other wood types soon.

Good product, but on pictures looks bigger

I have a ProQ cold smoke generator, and this was the first time I've had difficulty getting it to start. Had to dry the dust for an hour in a moderately warm oven and eventually resorted to a blowlamp. It did keep burning ok once started, and the flavour was ok but not as good as other beech dust I've had. Probably worth spending a little more on dust from hotsmoked or similar.

I admit , it's not the best of flavores I have used, but the best value I found here in the UK.

Really disappointing. Ordered through Prime as needed it the next day as we had friends coming over for dinner and realised we had run out and had promised them smoked salmon. The item finally arrived today (7th), despite it saying on the tracking that it had been delivered on the 5th. In addition to this, when i opened the package, lots of the contents had leaked out, as the bag is very loosely fastened, allowing the product to easily leak. So it made a complete mess, not to mention wasting loads.Yet to use the actual product though!

Le format en sachet de 450 grammes est très bien pour un usage occasionnel. Sciure de hêtre de très bonne qualité. Je recommande ce produit.

this is perfect for my little home smoker. it has been used for lots of dinner parties and home smoked salmon is really special.
