Highly recommend
I got the T12 Silver Mist. I typically use the liquid Wella. Let me tell ya... I'm buying this one from now on. I picked this one only because it was to be delivered sooner and I was in need (if ykyk). It toned even my stubborn darker blonde pieces. I've been doing my own hair for 15+ years and *big oops* put on dry hair for the first time due to being in a rush and not thinking straight (do not recommend). It toned too far and looked dull, I was sad. Shampooed twice with a clarifying shampoo and it's EXACTLY what I wanted. Thank you thank you! For those saying it did nothing, please remember to mix 1 part toner (this tube) with 2 parts 10vol developer. Make sure to stir well. Do not use a metal bowl. I use a plastic bowl from Sally's and a brush applicator or plastic spoon to mix. Wear gloves. This 2oz tube + 4oz of 10vol developer. I have very thick wavy hair so I did 2 tubes (4oz toner + 8oz 10vol developer) myself for enough coverage and worked great. Definitely recommend if you do it correctly.

Hair Transition at 40+: Embracing My Natural Greys
Okay yes honey!!G gorgeous highlights!!! I just turned 41, and for my birthday I wanted a refreshed look to rid the reddish brown hair I had and create a more neutral look to compliment the grey hair coming in - Colorcharm wella T69 + 7A Smokey ash produces substantial results. Hair has to be highlighted twice as my original color has red undertones. The top of my head also needs 7A to process longer so I plan to do it this week for 40 min tops because 20-25 wasn’t enough time and left some reddish brown tones but nevertheless great color and I’ll be planning to purchase more in the future. I am also waiting on a stronger bleach powder to help lift and tone with blue xoxo I love my hair babes!!! Thank you Wella colorcharm you certainly have charmed my way into my hair care routine

PERFECT platinum blonde toner, name is misleading
Okay so I thought maybe if I got my hair color lifted as high as I could and left the toner on a little while longer, I could achieve an icy kinda silvery white (spoiler: I couldn’t). I mean just don’t package it and name it the way it is if that is not what will be achieved 🫠 now I did get the PERFECT platinum blonde that I would’ve lovedddd a year ago but I needed even more ice and more cool toned lol. I do have a before pic (with my crazy sectioning going on) and a pic where the back half was toned and the front half was not (I have to bleach/tone my hair in 2 parts cause I have sooooooo much hair so that 3rd pic will be after I rinsed out the first half) 4th pic is it toned and towel dried andddd then before it could dry fully I was craving the silvery white too bad and tried to throw on some weird concoction of purple conditioner/bluish dye I threw together at one point in time when I didn’t feel like buying more toner lol and sat with that on my hair too long and it was a bit uneven so some of those blonde parts still peek thru but i guess I’ll include a pic of that too? Sorry im too impulsive and impatient 🥲 but anyways if you’re aiming for platinum then YES get this it’s incredible. But if you want an icy silvery white you will be let down. Still giving 5 stars tho cause it did exactly as all the reviews were saying of people who used it for the purpose of achieving platinum and I’m just a dummy who doesn’t listen

Polar Ice
I'm a 54 yo woman with long, fine, naturally curly 3b hair. I've been coloring it for years with Loreal Cream Permanent 9NN. My roots however, are mostly white. Not grey or silver, but very white, so even a T18 was more color than the root and I'm ready to allow the grow-out to happen. My daughter did a bleach on the mid-shaft down to get the blonde out and put an Olaplex treatment as a layer of protection. We put the toner on using 20 volume and left it a total of 40 minutes covered with a platic bag. This toner is much gentler than the liquid. It barely had a smell. I washed it with purple shampoo starting from the ends first working my way towards the roots, making sure of full saturation using cool water. I let that sit as I showered, not hurrying. After thoroughly rinsing in cool water, I gently worked a curl friendly conditioner through and finished my routine. The color came out absolutely beautiful! It's even and a true polar ice; matching my natural roots better than I could have imagined. We went to the city the next day to shop for my g-sons graduation party and I had a salon appointment for a shape-up. Everywhere we went, we were asked about my hair: whether it was my natural color or which salon I went to. My daughter was beaming as the complements came her way. She only does her and my hair as a hobby-not trained. If you're looking for a toner that's going to be gentle on your hair and come out the color you want, this is a good one. You can't hurry it, but it's worth the ending. My hair is soft and shiny. Someone asks about it everytime I go out. Most importantly, I absolutely love it and see myself going through the trouble of keeping it up. *unpaid/unsolicited review *

Expect somewhat lighter results.
I decided to strip years of hair coloring and start fresh to figure out what I want next--so I bleached to a level 10 blonde. I wore it that way (toning out the last bit of yellow) for a few weeks and realized I really missed having pink hair! However, rather than go back to a level 7 or 8 rose gold, I opted for Wella's pink blossom and try that out. I started with clean, unconditioned color, used 10 volume developer and processed a little longer than the 20 minutes suggested on the box. Here is the result: still very much blonde (level 9 I think) but no yellow at all and pink-ish. I didn't know how I felt about it at first, because initially I worried that it would turn out to deep and vibrant, rather than pastel. Now that I have had a bit of time to get used to it, I really like the shade. I think it might not show up on hair that's any darker than a level 9. I'm going to maintain this for awhile! It's a very soft hue, but has enough whimsy to make me happy!

*Please Read* Defective Product, Multiple Shades
I have used the liquid Wella toners for years but decided to experiment with two cream shades. I ordered T96 ( muted rose) and T12 (silver mist). After my first toning attempt I noticed no difference in my hair color. Thinking I possibly had received an old developer (I'm using Wella 10 vol, mixed 1:2 as indicated on package) I tried a second time with both shades but a different developer. Again, no difference. I noticed this time that BOTH shades appeared pure white from the tube and never developed any color while in the bowl or on my head. I mixed a small amount of both again, this time with a 20 volume and again NO color ever developed. The tubes I received were unopened, with no damage to the packaging. There is no date printed so I don't know if these are old. I see that other reviewers have posted similar findings for years so this leads me to believe this is not an isolated incident. I don't know if something was somehow left out of this batch at the factory but I did notice that despite containing ammonia, the usual smell was not present. Given how long this appears to be occurring, and the fact that I received two different shades from different batches with the same issue, I would not trust any of these Wella cream toners to contain what they are supposed to and in the correct quantities. There is obviously a quality issue happening on a large scale. Don't risk the damage to your hair. If you received a bad tube, please initiate a return so it can be tracked. Just select "defective product" and indicate that it is open and used. You are still entitled to a refund! *Photos show mixed toners with 10 vol after 45 minutes in black bowl. Purple bowl has a little of each toner mixed separately with 20 vol after 40 minutes. No color developed.

Where is BLOND BRILLIANCE brand? I really miss those toners.
t16 needs to be used on level 10 hair that has almost no yellow at all. Inside of banana peel level 10, nearly white. T16 has almost no pigment in it, it seems. I put it on my lighted highlights only and it barely changed anything. T81 did okay on my level 8/9 brassy hair underneath the highlights. They are still brassy, but not as bad. T14 did pretty good on my level 8/9 roots. It was barely orange tinted at all at the root. Nearly just yellow- except under certain lighting. T14 toned it to an ALMOST neutral color. I used vol 10 on towel dried, freshly cleaned hair (no conditioner), left on hair for 35 minutes to process. Washed out and applied deeply pigmented violet conditioner (no shampoo), coated in Anti-Snap by Redken, then hair dried. The only one out of these three that is tried and true every time is T14. The others are just not dependable results. Does anyone remember the dependability from Blond Brilliance Platinum ? That toner could tone the reds out of my BROWN hair. It was so ashy!!! I miss that brand. Where did they go?

Platinum!!
T12 silver mist is the PERFECT blonde toner. I did 1 part color 2 parts 10 volume. Left photo is before, right is after bleaching my roots and toning with the t12. I was worried it would pull too ashy but it’s the perfect platinum white blonde

Works best on completely bleached hair. Helps to minimize orange hues.

Icy lavender for polar ice
Update: January 2025, I am updating to say two things. This is a beautiful toner, the Polar Ice shade, however the seller seems to have stopped selling it since I first bought about 6 months ago. I checked multiple times and it was never there. 2nd thing, it works well for lower damage, especially when paired with a 10 vol developer, it's substantially less damaging than Wella T18 however it doesn't last as long. It will tone level 8-10, better with 9-10. I use a water filter in my shower, I wash would cool water, use purple shampoo and conditioner as well, k18 + occasional clarifying shampoo to remove build up, it lasts about 3 weeks before brass starts popping up. T18 lasts about 5-6 weeks in my hair with minimal brassy sections. It's an okay toner but I did find it more budget using - beauty wellness - for buying either. ______________________ Original Review: (July 29 / 2024) It’s actually cheaper on Amazon than locally at Sally’s right now. I weighed the product because lately a lot of companies do shrinkflation but I’m happy to say it was more than the product weight and I felt satisfied that it was the actual amount of advertised toner. Worked great, used with a 10 vol on my very damaged bleached hair I didn’t experience a lot of extra hair breakage. It even temporarily unified some not lifted enough areas leaving my hair a bright white/slightly lavender hue. My hair wasn’t bleached properly so I’m very impressed with how low damage and higher cover this is.

Gorgeous colour
Really great toner. Gorgeous colour. It was easy to use and was a professional die that was exactly what I wanted unlike box dye.

I paired this with wella bleach and I'm very happy with the results
I removed a star because it took the whole package to tone my hair. For context, I have medium-short length but with a split dye down the middle; I usually don't need that much product. After 3 attempts, I'm quite pleased with the color.
