This is a must as a present or anytime gift, you will learn so much about the person and gives them a challenge and so many memories, other relatives available to, this was for my wife's father I had one from my son, love love live it.

I bought this gift for my other half from our son for fathers day and it is such a lovely and thoughtful gift. I just hope he likes it as much as I do. What I like the most is that one day our son will be given it back to learn about all these things like his dads favourite songs as a child etc, things that my son may not remember in years to come but through this book we are capturing a piece of family history in a way. The design is lovely too and I am glad there is a choice between designs. I am planning on buying more for other family members. Brilliant idea, do not hesitate to buy this product.

Bought this as a Father's Day present and think that it will be a lovely gift, at some time in the future, for my daughter to receive back from her dad. Many people I believe write about their lives when their children are small, but few go back to when they were little themselves, or growing up. The book poses a series of questions like 'What interesting information do you know about other people in our family?. What was the first piece of music/record that you bought? What was my nickname before I was born or when i was young?Tell me about the dreams you have for your life? If it is every completed (and that is a big IF), it will be a wonderful reminder, when dad is perhaps not around any more.

I would recommend this book. There is room to write a decent sized answer to each question that is asked. The questions reflect on several timesin Dads life, starting with what where he was born and what the times were like then. It's not heavy, just asks for memories and stories. Its a great conversation starter. I bought this book from my son to his Dad and have enjoyed listening to my husbands thoughts on what's times were like when he was born. There may never be an opportunity for these thoughts to be shared and family stories be shared and passed on. Will be the best present you ever bought really:)

Best thing I’ve done this year! I have sat with my father and completed this book with him…sharing precious time and memories before he couldn’t recall it and became confused at 92! I wish I’d thought of this years ago! And wished I’d got one with my mum. This is why it should be a fun gift you share in your youth not just as a tool in preparation for loss…it will become so valuable to me in times to come x

I bought this for my dad when he found out he had 12 month terminal cancer. The concept behind this is fantastic, my dad would forever tell me stories about his life but there is many questions in there, about how dad met mum, what his first job was and finding out the little details about his life meant a lot. Unfortunately, my dad passed away four months later and he did not get to finish it. If you are reading this and want to buy it for yourself to give to your child, please try your best to put in as much as you can. It means so much in the long run.

When i stumbled across this I was actually looking for a gift for my sister (she's now the owner of the sister version!) but after seeing they did a dad version too i had to get it! My dad and i aren't big talkers about our feelings, and I've got the most ridiculously bad memory so anything he does tell me, I soon forget! This book allows the special person you buy it for, to write down answers to the pre written questions. You get to find out lots of lovely memories, thoughts and feelings and there's also opportunities in there for you to ask your own personal questions. It's something that both my dad and sister were really pleased to recieve and they have both started filling it in! It's something i will treasure forever, and pass down through the family. I'm also hoping they follow the 'tradition' of buying the 'giver' one back to fill in for them!

Possibly the best thing I have ever purchased. I gave this to my dad a while ago for his birthday. I didn't know he had been writing in it. He sadly passed away in 2016 and I found this book in his bedside table. Unfortunately he didn't get around to completing it but reading what he had wrote about his childhood and his thoughts is just amazing. Something I will treasure forever. Some of what he wrote is things we would never have sat down and discussed in our day to day lives, so to have those words written down is just a real treasure. A lovely idea for a gift and will be of great value one day.
