Will this fit an Inspiron 14 7430?

I just received this and it does NOT appear to fit on the Inspiron 14 7430 (unfortunately)

Is it possible to use the top piece only, since that apparently fits the 7430 model? Or do the two pieces need to snap together to work?

Top and bottom work independently, so could use just one or the other.

Does it fit an Inspiron 14 2-in-1?

It depends on the model number. Mine was a 7435 and it would fit all around but then trying to fold it into tablet mode it would start popping off since it covers the hinges
