Phenyx Pro Does Not Fail to Amaze!
I have been thoroughly testing this product for the last week and a half and give it 5 stars for a rating. These are going to make a great addition to my mobile DJ rig. I mainly use my PTU-7000 Receiver and mics but I am going to be bringing this PTU-5200 with me on events to replace my current backup and/or if someone needs a lapel microphone as I don't have a body pack for my 7000 series. For the price of this unit you cannot beat what you are getting. This is the 3rd Phenyx Pro product that I have added to my system, and I could not be any more pleased with what they bring to the table. This unit is non-rackable by design as they have other products at the same price point that are. Though I would not mind seeing a rackable version as I really like the feel and look of the receiver and mics vs the 5000 series. I like the choice of color scheme used for the displays. You can clearly see and read what frequencies you are on. I like the 2 BNC antenna design vs the 4-antenna design, though I imagine that is why you get 200ft of range vs 328ft like the 7000 series. You get individual channel XLR outputs or a single 1/4 inch for all signals to one output. The receiver is also lightweight making it easy to move for mobile applications. The components are well put together internally as you don’t get any rattle if the unit is shaken. The volume knobs are a little close together for people with bigger fingers, making it a tad difficult to adjust volumes on the inner two channels without accidently adjusting another channel. The volume knobs turn nicely though and adjusting them does not provide feedback to the system. The handheld microphones are nice and lightweight with a great feel in your hands. They may dent easy but if you take care of them like you should, you won't have any problems. The lightweight design of these mics does allow a bit more hand fumbling noises through, but if you adjust your volumes on the microphone themselves just right you are able to mitigate a lot of those sounds. The provided lapel microphones are nice as well. They have the same sound quality as the handhelds. The mini XLR is a very nice touch to the packs. I wish to see that on an IEM model someday. It is more solid connection than a 3.5mm jack. I also like the clip provided with the one set of lapel mics. It is well constructed and will hold onto your clothing without falling. Both microphones do a great job of blocking out wind and interference when speaking into the microphones. When there is not any speaking into the microphone they do pick up the wind. The feedback blocking is impressive if you were to get too close to a speaker. At high volumes that is impossible to mitigate, but at low to medium volumes I wasn’t getting any feedback or looping. You will want to make sure you have a direct line of sight to the antennas as in crowded rooms signals get blocked, but this is true for almost any microphone and receiver. The bodypacks are also lightweight, and you can barely tell they are on your person. The battery hinge is a small concern of mine with potentially breaking over time if you are not easy on your equipment, but again if you take care of your equipment and are not rough on it you won't have any issue. Always have backups vs trying to swap batteries in a rush. The batteries provided with Phenyx Pro products last you a decent amount of time too. I've gone a whole year without having to change them for Duracell batteries. I keep my mics powered off when not in use during events though. Frequency setting can be a tad tricky at first on the handhelds, especially if you are used to auto setting like the 7000 series. The instruction manual does not explain well how to change a/b/c/d channels, but if you look at the product images on Phenyx Pro’s website it shows you clear as day. You must power the handheld off and then power it on while continuing to hold the power button for 10 seconds. This can be a tad tedious, the time could be shortened, but I don’t foresee the need to change a/b/c/d channels often. Auto pairing to the receiver is simple and I have not had any issues with that at all. The bodypacks are easy and clear in the manual on how to change the a/b/c/d channels. If you are worried about getting the best frequency with the least amount of noise on it, I would invest in a spectrum analyzer. The PTU-5200 microphones do overpower most noises though on the chosen frequency. You’d have to be in a very frequency noisy location to have any sort of issues. My takeaway is that I love this product even with the few items I pointed out as concerns. It’s simple to use and has a great design. You are not going to find a better product with this many features and sound quality for the same price. And if you ever need any help with a product, Phenyx Pro’s support is responsive in a timeline manner and knowledgeable with troubleshooting.

Brilliant System!
Great microphone system! They look professional and work great! I use them to teach dance classes, make announcements, and occasionally some karaoke. Now, these are not Shure’s but for the price, they are unbeatable and will do the job! The range is incredible! I fully expected some major lag but I was able to walk all the way around a community center and into the maintenance closest with no drops or major lags. For the tuned ear, you can probably notice a slight lag and variation in clarity between these and Shure’s but overall I’m very impressed with these mics. And, let’s not forget the independent volume control which is perfect when you don’t have someone running the sound board! It is incredibly convenient to simply adjust your volume from the transmitter instead of running to the soundboard. Additionally, they work very well together. Me and my partner were teaching a dance lesson side by side with both mics unmuted and they did not squeal. Highly recommend these mics to anyone not wanting to spend thousands on mics!

Over all impressed.
Bought this for small wedding that we DJ. Tested the hand held out in the field and was amazed at the reange...like really impressive. The sound quality is good to but I run this through a fader so I can control the EQ. Only down side is the lapel mics are picky and have a much shorter range. Thats the only complaint I have. I'd definitely buy this product again!

Great System for an affordable price
This system is great all around. I enjoy the simple setup but I dislike the lack of IR pairing as the frequency hopping doesn't work most of time. Another issue is that the Body Packs will not work on the first 2 receivers and the Handheld Mics wont work on the last 2 receivers. I'm not sure if this is a problem specific my unit or not. Besides the issues mentioned, the audio quality is pretty decent. I wouldn't call it amazing but it is more than usable. Not a noticeable difference Vs. my main mic. (An Audio Technica AT2020) I like the built in audio knobs for the combined output which makes it a good system for use with a consumer speaker. The range is ok. Works well for most situations. Overall it's good. Much better than I was expecting. I would recommend buying this if you can't afford a name brand system.

Great Wireless System
I have several Phenyx Pro Wireless systems. They all work really well. I have used them in various settings for worship. No issues at all. The handheld microphones will not fit in some standard mic holders, I got some clip ones that work well. The sound quality is great as well. The body back microphones work well, they pick up some breath or nose noise, to be expected but it is mainly just figuring out the best place to put it. It is comfortable to wear and allows me to channel my inner Brittany Spears. You can change frequencies but each of the microphones and body packs are specific to a certain channel on the unit. Meaning the microphone on channel A can change frequencies but will always be the one linked to channel A. On the unit itself it has individual volume knobs and displays that show the incoming volume accurately. I would suggest labeling the microphones with the channel. I usually just send a mix out to my PA System, but I am limited in inputs. Having the individual XLR outputs would be very handy for extra mixing of the vocals and does work but the mix works great as well for my situation. Range is well, we use it in an open air pavilion with no issues. I have tested the range around my farm and it works great. I do have a video for the 4 microphone system on my youtube channel if you search for the audio dabbler phenyx pro, it should come up. this one has the same range and quality. I would highly recommend this microphone set, very versatile for both singers and speakers, it would be a great addition to any house of prayer without breaking the bank.

Great value for a 4 channel mic kit.
Pros: 1. Pretty easy setup 2. Comes with almost everything you need for a 4 mic kit. 3. Durable mics and belt packs 4. Good selection of frequencies to work with and not too hard to setup or change. 5. 4 XLR or 1 x 1/4" mixed output Cons: 1/4" Output isnt RTS its only 2 conductor RT Didnt test frequency interference in a live environment yet. Doesnt come with basic 19" rack ears. No reasonable way to use this setup without the messiness of having everything on a table. Handhelds have a bit of contact noise on the shell when handling them. Seems it could use more insulation around the core of the mic to avoid the bumps and hollow taps that can show up from exchanging hands, or taping the stand. As a professional DJ and Audio Engineer this is an all around good basic setup and definitely worth the price. Comparable kit in Sennheiser or Shure would cost $1800-$2500 but there is a difference in features. Phenyx has brought a good entry level kit to market and I recommend it for those hobbyists and those on a budget. Its hands down better than its competitors from HARMAN and Pyle. I would give it a solid 4.5 stars ** Will update this review once we have tested it live in a show.

Great purchase
These are great microphones and I love that I was able to adjust the frequencies to have them work for our church. Ww have a digital mixer and another set of these microphones and they are all working well together.
