Sensitive and a useful warning device when working in a dusty environment. I bought 2 of them!
Obviously I have no way of knowing quite how accurate this is, but it is certainly sensitive and shows instant changes when I use any woodworking machinery in my workshop. Plus it shows steadily reducing readings as my air filtration system cleans the air. So all in all it is genuinely useful as it reminds me to both check the air quality and put on my face mask. At my age, 77, sawdust is unlikely to give me cancer, but it can certainly interfere with my lungs and I do not want that! I have bought a second one for another workshop

Replacement unit Worked about two weeks then died
Update - replacement unit worked about the same duration then died Did receive a few responses from the manufacturer then nothing Out of the return window - Do NOT suggest you purchase this defective device For the first week or so I really liked this device. It clearly showed we had AQI issues. Bad news after a week or so it started resetting, displaying all zeros then flashing back to a "proper" reading. A few days later nothing but all zeros on the PM display windows, Temp and Humidity are good. Pressing the menu button to switch display modes, the numerical readout display continues to display the particle numbers while the large standard displays are always ZERO. Ordered a replacement and will give it one more try.

Must have if you have a 3-D printer in your home
The product seems to work well. I have an ionizer and expected my air quality to be good. It gave a reading of zero. Any kind of wood work or cooking and the numbers start climbing. I purchased this for a 3-D printer I am going to purchase soon. This will help me to monitor the air quality and keep my family safe.

Works and also connects with windows. Still evaluating.
Interesting little device. I bought this to ensure my 3d printing isn't harming me. I also have the printer in a tent with exhaust fans in place to remove fumes but I'd rather be sure. I have this device and another and both read clean air. Pulling data from this isn't hard. The unit comes with a mini USB stick with software installed on it. It's in Chinese but there are some videos included which somewhat give you the steps to make it work. It took me 5 minutes. The device has a USB serial chip and when connected to a windows pc it will eventually show a comm port on your system. The baud rate is 115200. The port is dependent on the USB port connected to. Mine was 3. Once connected you can adjust the time. It seems to pull every second. Exporting to excel is very simple to do. I did blow smoke at it and it reacted. Would love to push this data to an app on the phone but no wifi is built in. I plan to let it run for a while. update- placed inside the 3d printing exhaust tent with the fan off, it does measure particles in the air (PETG)- last photo. In addition, I placed another device next to it to compare and it also measured particles but less than this unit. ๐. When the fans are on and exhausting out the window I get a 0.

Limited by technology
Across the brands, this may be about the best, but it is limited to the sensor technology. 2.5u is not small enough to sense the dangerous micro dust that KILLS you in a woodshop. Temp and RH were better than a lot of inexpensive units. Problem is, an accurate 2.5u runs about $20,000 and to measure .03u you need collection media and a laboratory. If this things says "bad" get the heck out of there! Add says 1u reading, but as far as I can tell, sensor only has a 10u and < 2.5 outputs. No 1u output.

Seems relatively great!
I made a video regarding that premieres this evening at 5pm EST. Compares great to my other temperature and humidity sensors both electronics and mechanical analog. However, I can't say without a doubt in regards to the PM values since I don't have a standard reference material and method to compare with. Though my guess is works great and definitely without a doubt compared to another Air Quality Detector that was the ~$23 version VT-6IN1 model. I think for the price and the quality of parts and time saved to make, worth the ~$50 investment. jafinch78 Youtube channel for more videos and this was not a free device sent to me or a paid review.

pretty close to AirNow DOT gov local reading when wildfires descended from up north
Model "A1C-PM2.5+AQI+UPLOAD" When the wildfire smoke from Canada came down this summer 2023, this unit outside matched the AQI of about 150 from the AirNow dot gov site +/- 5%. The overall AQI is nice, but I really like that it includes the counts for six particle sizes on one screen. It responds to powdered drink mix, airing out my bedroom sheets and sweeping hard floors. The count of the smallest particles goes nuts--into five digits--when I fry (burn) eggs in butter. Nothing else comes close. I run an oversized HEPA filter in my room to clear allergens. When I open the door to the outside air, values rise. After I close the door, numbers drop as the filter clears the air. Sometimes I feel uncomfortable and look over to see that the AQI went over 50 (not "Good") for some reason. The humidity is significantly different from a TRIPLETT RHT313 electronic thermometer/hygrometer I have. Not sure which unit is accurate. This one has a fan drawing air towards the unit. Temperature seems reasonable. There's a screen with date and time of day that's always wrong. There's supposed to be software to set this and download data, but I haven't tracked it down. Honestly, for these fun little products, it would be best if the manufacturer just published the communications protocol because anyone could write a little script and give it away on the internet for anyone to find. Remember Hayes modems? If we could control those, we can surely communicate with this in 2023. Love it.

Pretty screen but junk software
I bought these hoping to monitor road dust, but the software is too poorly developed to be practical. It seems to be unable to properly connect with the device at times and is unable to pull the device history correctly. When it did work, the software took ~1.5 hrs to export a weekโs worth of data collected at 3s intervals. The excel format of the data output is very old and Excel warns you that it make be unsafe. Save your $ and get a purpleair

Responds quickly to changing dust level in workshop
I got this meter to check on dust levels in my woodworking workshop. The meter is sensitive, reacts quickly to changes in dust level, and seems to show that the dust extractor is effective. The indicated level goes very high if I don't have the extractor running, but down to zero soon after I turn the extractor on. I don't know how accurate the readings are, and zero seems a bit suspicious, but it does show that the extractor makes a real difference. The only thing I don't like about the meter is its 'open' construction. Maybe it is designed to be built into a box of some kind. But it seems fine just sitting on a shelf.
