2 month review
After reading loads of reviews, I was unsure what to expect. However, itโs a great strimmer. I live in the middle of nowhere and electric strimmerโs are a pain. Not only do I have a large garden but the surrounding area is left to do itโs own thing, Iโd had enough at looking at long weeds and brambles so I thought Iโd give it a go. Assembly was easy. People seem to struggle starting it and there is a little knack to it but if you following the manual it works fine. I find it floods really easily but if youโre aware of this you donโt make that mistake. Set the trigger lock on, prime it, 5 pulls with the choke on (from cold) no more, turn the choke off and give it a few more pulls. Never had an issue after the very first time when I flooded it. The brush cutter works. I cleared a lot of large brambles and weeds from the area surrounding my garden. The strimmer head is easy to change and after Iโd cleared the big stuff away, Iโve only used the strimmer head. It is a thirsty machine, but Iโve found if I only half pull the trigger thereโs plenty of power to cut grass and it saves a load of fuel. Yes you can adjust the running speed but I have it set so the idol runs correctly. The harness is actually really handy. I didnโt think Iโd use it much but it makes handing it a breeze. A lot less back pain than bending over with an electric strimmer. Iโve had this now for 2 month and I use it weekly for around an hour continuously, I have a large area to clear. Iโve had no issues with it so far. Some people have commented itโs unsuitable for professional gardeners, I canโt comment on that, but for a regular people it does fine. Value for money, Iโm tight and wanted a decent strimmer for a low price. Cheapest strimmer I could find for the engine size. My only regret is that I wished Iโd have bought one sooner.

Very good product for the price and excellent customer service
This brush-cutter/strimmer is remarkably cheap for a product of this power. It requires about 40 minutes of careful assembly, but the instructions are clear and all tools are provided. The brush cutter blade cuts through thick vegetation (like stinging nettles and brambles) easily, although making sure the blades don't strike the ground takes practice. My one arrived without a locking knob, which at first didn't seem a big deal as I couldn't move the two parts supposedly locked, but 20 minutes of use proved me wrong. I informed the vendors and a new knob arrived within 3 days. My only hesitations are (1) the small tank size. Even when full of 2 stroke/petrol mixture, it only lasts about 30 minutes, and I was clearing a large riverbank of overgrowth. It took 3 refills, i.e. mixing 2 stroke oil and petrol. The kit arrives with a well-marked mixing bottle, so it's not difficult, but it is time-consuming. (2) The machine is quite heavy and use of the harness is essential. It's a good harness, though watch out for the inside of your right arm, as the plastic plate and clips do tend to scratch if you're not careful. Overall, a good machine for a very reasonable price, and great after-care. Would buy from these suppliers again.

Powerful, reliable, easy to start, but with a few niggles.
Item was received quickly and packaged well. I've had a few petrol strimmers over the years and to be honest, I didn't expect much from this cheap version. I needed something with power but also needed to keep costs down. I found the manual quite detailed and well written and followed the instructions to set up with no issues. The supplied fuel bottle was a little small and confusing to mix the petrol so I just used the one I've had for years to mix the required 40:1 mix. Primed it as described and gave it 3 pulls before it sprang into life with a lovely nice tickover. Anyway, I used it in anger for about 2 hours and it's fantastic. It cut through anything with ease. I haven't tried the blade yet, but so far I haven't had to. The line seems heavy duty, and I didn't use much at all. I only had to tap and release the line once in the whole 2 hours. The reason I dropped a mark is that the button that holds the trigger in doesn't work. Holding your finger in for long periods is painful so I need to think of something else to help there. The harness and setup will take some time to get right. I find I'm reaching over too much to hold the handles. Perhaps I should offset the handles over to the left a little. I'll take more time to set it up and probably replace the harness. So not perfect no, but for the price? Outstanding value. I'm happy.

Absolutely brilliant bit of kit for the money
When my 30 year old brush cutter / strimmer finally gave up the ghost (estimate to repair was over ยฃ100), I started looking around for a replacement. I was initially put off this one by the price - it seemed too cheap to be any good, as equivalent machines from the big names are 3 or 4 times the cost. I eventually set my scepticism aside and went for it. I'm very glad that I did! I can't believe how good this is for the money! It took me about 5 minutes to put it together (I'm a Mechanical Engineer!) I put some 2 stroke mix in it and it started second pull. Runs like a dream and starts really easily. The quality is excellent and the auto-feed line head works really well. Given that an equivalent branded 52cc machine will cost you between ยฃ300 and ยฃ400, I still can't believe the quality on this for the price. OK - it may not last me 30 years like my old one (which I paid ยฃ200 for 30 years ago!!), but if I get 5 years out of it I will be more than happy! Don't be put off by some of the comments about it kicking when you start it. All petrol engines of this size will kick a bit if you don't have the right technique. Just pull it slowly until you feel the piston start the compression stroke and then give it a sharp pull (don't be tentative!) - mine starts first time, every time, with no kickback at all. Only slight gripe is that the shoulder harness isn't that comfortable compared with my Stihl harness, but there again I paid ยฃ50 just for the harness, so I'm not complaining at all (especially as this strimmer fits my existing harness no problems). Highly recommended.

Good for the money- TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
UPDATE JUNE 2020 Bought a 52 cc brush cutter in Feb 2019. Within 3 months and 4 or 5 uses, the fuel tank bracket snapped due to fatigue of very poor materials. Parker Brand refused to replace the part, claiming it was wear and tear. Amazon offered full refund if I sent it back. I didn't bother because it wasn't stopping the brush cutter working. The ignition coil has just packed in. Parker Brand refused to replace it under their 2 year warranty. I pointed out that it isn't on the wear and tear/consumable list of items excluded from the warranty. James Peacock was very unhelpful in his two replies and said that although the coil isn't listed as an exclusion, it is in fact excluded from the warranty. I doubt that that is even legal. I will never knowingly buy from Parker Brand again and recommend nobody else to fall foul of their mis-selling and false warranty promises. The brush cutter was essentially good value, given the price. The customer support is non-existent. Many other budget brands will sort these issues free of charge without quibble. The warranty promise is a fraud. AVOID Parker Brand. ORIGINAL REVIEW My old Stihl had too many problems so I went for a cheap option given that it's only for occasional use. This is a good tool for the price, happy I bought it. Pros: Easy to assemble Very easy to start, cold or hot Beefy engine, never bogs Absolutely destroys anything it's pointed at, the disc gets a lot of use Good on fuel Cons: The engine is a bit lumpy at mid revs, not sure if it's fine tuning required on fuelling or if the engine balance is slightly off, at tick-over and higher revs it's great, just like a Stihl The nut that holds the disc on has a tendency to come loose, it's necessary to tighten it way beyond that required on a Stihl, too tight in my opinion, I used a rubber back washer and that sorted it The split pin that prevents this nut coming off is made of cheese string, not safe, replace with a decent one straight away The tool kit supplied is rubbish, I snapped the head off the plug/nut spanner on first use, throw it all away, good tools are available very cheaply This strimmer seems to be too long or wrong angle on head, I'm 6'1" and I feel too short when using it, hopefully this is due to handle adjustment but I haven't got it right yet. That said, the shape and size is almost identical to my old Stihl FS 120, so maybe operator error. Overall it's a very good strimmer, for the price. The switches, buttons, components, bolts, strimmer head etc are all quite crudely made. You will definitely get a better unit from Stihl but it will cost more than it's worth in my opinion. I would happily buy another one of these Parker units.

Great bit of kit
Easy to assemble and comes with a mixing bottle and its own toolkit in a bag so no extra tools needed. Followed the starting instructions and after 2 pulls with choke on, turned the choke off and it started first pull. When warm it started first pull every time. I have to admit that for the price I was a bit dubious about buying this but going on the reviews I needn't have worried. I bought this as my inlaws both have big gardens which need clearing and having spent 7 hrs nearly constant strimming, well you need to stop for the odd cup of tea, clearing the first one I am impressed. Took everything in its stride. The harness is a bit of a faff to get right but when adjusted its comfortable for all day use and the quick release makes it a doddle if you need to take the strimmer off/ on. The only issue I have found with using this is the trigger design. It's mentioned in other reviews as well so it's not just me but I think it's too wide so the edge is uncomfortable on your finger. I found using my middle finger instead of index was a bit better for me. If a different trigger design could be used maybe a thinner one or more rounded on the edges as its a bit square this would make it perfect. Having said that I would still have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone especially for the price.

Reasonably good value
Writing this after assembly and first use. Before use: The product arrived well packaged. Instructions are a little difficult to follow as some components aren't labelled and others were prefitted, when the manual said to fit them. Other than that, putting together the kit was fairly simple and all tools were provided. The construction appears to be of decent quality, the trigger and the other plastic components are a little brittle. Usage: The strimmer stars easily enough and has decent power. I should note that the amount of vibration from the handles is horrendous; particularly at the throttle side as the throttle needs to be held in constantly. I had main in my hand for about 24hrs afterwards. The engine DRINKS fuel. I cut a small grass verge and used a full litre of fuel. I also found it incredibly difficult to cut the grass to anything shorter than about 6-10cm as the length of the unit, along with the depth of the spool and positioning of the guard, meant that the cutting angle is at best horizontal to the ground. Verdict: I paid 80 odd quid for it, so I think it's reasonable.

Powerful ...
So I've used it twice on 3 good sized gardens , so I've used it 6 times... Im very impressed. Easy to build and set up, came with everything needed to build it, it seems very well made. engine starts first time ,every time. I'm most impressed with the power, it really has some kick, able to cut through long grass and tall weeds with ease. It's a little heavy but the straps provided really help relieve the strain on your arms and shoulders. Honestly I've had fun using this strimer! I will try to take video and post it here next time I use it. For a big garden , I highly recommend this . The power of petrol engine like this is unmatched ๐
