Review:I recently installed this head gasket & reed valve replacement kit on my Central Pneumatic compressor and so far it’s been a very positive upgrade. My compressor had started to build pressure slowly and run hotter than usual, so I suspected the reed valves and plate/gasket needed refreshing.What I like:The kit includes stainless steel reed valves and an aluminum valve plate/gasket – nice to see better materials than the original stock. It lists: “2 reed stainless steel valves and 1 valve plate aluminum gasket” (or in the 2-set version “4 reed valves & 2 valve-plate gaskets”).It fit my compressor head very well. It’s specified as “fits most 8-gal, 10-gal & 21-gal Central Pneumatic compressors” in one listing.Easy installation—once I removed the head, cleaned the surfaces, and followed the note about greasing the lower valve (“NOTE: … install/locate the lower valve with a little grease as a line. Failure to do so can cause the valve to break prematurely.”)After installation, my compressor cycles are cleaner, builds pressure faster and the head isn’t getting as hot as before.What could be improved / minor caveats:It’s still a budget-kit compared to OEM rebuild kits — the documentation is minimal, and you’ll need to verify dimensions and fitment carefully for your exact model.The note about greasing the lower valve is important but could be missed; if you skip it you risk early failure.While the “fits most” claim is decent, there’s a chance it won’t match rare or older head-designs exactly. Always measure and compare before relying entirely on “fits all”.Bottom Line:If your Central Pneumatic compressor is showing signs of loss of performance (slow pressure build, running hot, abnormal vibration or noise) this kit is well worth picking up. The materials and fitment show a real step up from the worn stock parts. 2 different sizes for different compressors. Have to order another to have a spare

The compressor wasn’t building pressure, took the head off and sure enough the reed valve was shattered. Replaced it with these and put the new gasket on, which I sprayed with copper gasket sealer, reassembled, and was back to compressing. An easy 10-15 minute fix!

Worked well but was hoping to have two that were of the same size

I had to return the item because it was missing one part. The items are very thin the packing was good just one part was not included I was very careful opening the pack my work area is very clean and organized I know it didn't get away at opening. I reordered the same part from the same supplier, every thing was ok this time.
