How does it hold up in the car wash as a side view camera?

It would depend on if you mounted it in a bit of a sheltered place, where the brushes did not have an open attack area on the camera, like on the bottom or the outside mirrors, or as mine , under the rear bumper. Remember this is an electrical devise and should be somewhat protected from heavy sprays. I like mine, 2 of them, as you can carefully swivel and rotate the lens to aim it . Once or so.

I am confuse? is it a dash cam since it say's front side view camera?

No,dear buyer, this is just a camera. but this camera could be front side view camera with non-mirror image or rear view camera with mirror image. because there has 2 thin cable on the camera,

-White Switch Wire: Distance scale Line (Yes/No) Switcher
-Green Switcher Wire: Mirror/non-Mirror switcher

Hightlights: This camera is reverse camera with distance scale line as default.
Cut green cable: Switch mirror(rear view) to normal image(front view)
Cut white cable: Cancel Parking Lines

Warm Tips: After cut the green/white cable,please reconnect the power to the camera and monitor for converting image successfully.

RVS-062710 comes with 2 backup cameras. How can i change one to be a front view camera?

There are two wire "loops" in the wiring harness of the camera.  Clipping one of the loops reverses the camera image right-to-left for forward view, and clipping the remaining loop turns off the "back-up" guide lines from the video.  I don't remember which colors of the wire loops did which.
