In this latest installment of the Cat in the Hat's Learning Library, the Cat takes Sally and Nick to Africa--where they meet some really big cats--and all sorts of other animals, too, including elephants, zebra, giraffe, hippos, warthogs, buffalo, baboons, side-striped jackals, spotted hyena, galagos, pythons, vipers, and six kinds of antelope! Young readers will learn how animals are either predators or prey, that elephants tend to favor one tusk over the other, how to tell the difference between a white and black rhino (both of which are grey!), that lion cubs are born covered with spots that soon disapear, and much, much more! Fans of the new PBS preschool science show The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That! (which is based on The Cat in the Hat's Learning Library) won't want to miss this wild new addition to the series! Review: Wonderful - A wonderful book and so informative in a lovely way which caught the attention of all my children age 2, 5 & 11. Review: Five Stars - Makes great bed time reading for a young child.

Great book!
Affordable, good book. Great for preschoolers...fun rhymes and educational. Makes a nice gift when paired with a safari-themed jigsaw puzzle, like the Melissa and Doug ones. Sound purchase.

Great for kids
As a kid growing up with cat in hat, I wanted to pass this on to my kids. Every night I read these books to them. Great to be a dad and keep english strong in my family

Fall prey to this safari book!
Very cute book where you learn about lots of animals you might actually see on an African safari, from small animals, to antelope, lions, and even elephants! My 3 year old absolutely loved this book and asked a lot of questions. I was happy they talked about predators and prey and did not leave that knowledge (all be it a bot gory) out. Very good book to learn about African wildlife.
