onn Android TV 4K UHD Streaming Device with Voice Remote Control & HDMI Cable

This works perfectly for my needs and was very easy to fully install. I have a non smart projector and TV in my home theater so I added this for streaming capabilities. I set up the audio and video options and connected the Netflix, Amazon, HBO and YouTube apps and set this box up to my Sofabaton remote all in less than 20 minutes. This runs the most recent version of Android tv and It works perfectly and plays things from my phone without issue. The included remote (that I do not use but feels great in hand and seems very solid) comes with batteries and has dedicated buttons for YouTube Netflix Disney and Paramount, there is also a push to talk Google Assistant button. I don't side load or modify and I really don't watch streaming services all that often so if you are looking for something super powerful and feature rich I don't know if I can speak to that but if you're looking for a basic streamer I would say up to about the $100 range this is probably one you should consider I'm perfectly happy. Now I want to say I got this on Amazon and there was a 15% coupon so it was about $27 I feel that is a great price, I have no complaints. However to someone considering this let me tell you it sells every day all day for $19.88 at Walmart apparently this is made specifically for them as a house brand. You would either have to pay for shipping of just pick it up in store if that is an option for you. This is definitely worth purchasing just try to get the best price you can.... hopefully Amazon doesn't edit my review haha. Peace

What I don't like about any of these systems is that they all use either Amazon to steer your towards Amazon or Google that takes you to YouTube. In other words, when you search for something by voice it always takes you to Google or YouTube. Even if you say "Search on Netflix", for example, it will still take you to YouTube. You can say, "search for The Beatles on Spotify" , and it will take you to YouTube. With other systems, it's the same thing except they will take you to Amazon. So all in all, I have found that there is no good solution that will actually take you to the app that you want to search on such as Netflix or Spotify. And even if you go to Spotify and search, it will still take you out of Spotify and over to YouTube.

For the everyday price, which you can only get this price for the fire stick 4k Max if it's on sale, these are better. (Brand New). The software is smooth, and in my opinion much easier to navigate than the Fire sticks interface. In my honest opinion it looks much cleaner. Especially if you have a 4k TV and you change the settings in the Google TV menu (Onn box) to 4k. Very nice. Doesn't lag one bit, when I use the USB plug directly to the TV. Which is strange, because the 4k Max will lag occasionally (they even have a pop-up that will tell you it's best to plug into the wall for optimal performance). If you go spec for spec they are very close, which is a big selling point for me because I see no reason to pay double for essentially the same specs. Other than size , I guess. But these are really not big at all. They're like 2 Fire sticks wide, no biggie. My only gripe is the ad shows this is 32GB storage when it's actually only 8GB. That's a big difference. The fire stick wins there, cause I think they have 16GB. This could be a deal breaker for some. For me not so much, because I stream everything. The remote is great too. Feels substantial, and not cheaped out on. Value for money is great 👍🏽.

The best purchase I’ve made recently! I had a 65-inch Samsung TV, but it wouldn’t let me install many apps. With this TV Box, it’s super easy—plus, it supports voice commands, which makes it even more practical to use. A thousand thanks! 🫂

I was using a Firestick that could not see my Samsung Soundbar. With the Onn during set-up it asked if I was using other equipment and it easily recognized and added my soundbar. And this has the Firestick app pre-installed so this has the same functionality of a Firestick so now instead of one remote to control the Firestick and one for sound I just use the Onn remote. I estimate I will save approximately one week each year not having to look for either of the previous remotes as well as money on batteries. I wish I bought this years ago. It would have saved me many minutes of frustration looking for remotes.

I purchased this because my Roku TV was starting to struggle with running some of the streaming apps. Positives: This box does handle the apps better. I haven't experienced any app crashes and the constant lag I was experiencing with my Roku TV is gone. The box is very easy to install and takes up minimal space. Cons: The user interface is frustrating. There is no way to customize your home screen. I have to scroll past their "suggested shows and apps" to get to the apps I actually use. They also have made sure that your one single line of dedicated space for your apps is half the size of everything else. The remote is TERRRRRRRIBLLLLLEEEE. The volume will sometimes control your TV's main volume and other times it controls the ONN box volume...... the ONN box volume does not work correctly so you end up just using your TV's old remote for the volume like we are living in 2010 again. The ONN remote can turn off your TV...... but it can't turn it on. So, again, you are stuck with having to keep track of 2 remotes constantly. The remote also has trouble navigating. The directional pad is a circle, instead of separated arrows like on the Roku remote. Because they have decided to make it one big circle, the remote will think you are pressing left or right when you are pressing down or up and vice versa. It can be obnoxious just to navigate a simple app like YouTube. Speaking of YouTube..... for some reason they've decided that you don't need to refresh your recommendation section. If you leave the app and come back they decided to save your previous recommendations instead of pining YouTube for a new list. They also think that you ALWAYS want to start a video the that you exited earlier when you left the app. The second you click on YouTube, the previous video you were watching starts. YouTube has a history function that let's you jump back into videos you haven't finished. I don't want this stupid box deciding for me that I NEED to finish this video the second I click on YouTube. I would NOT recommend this product. It is wayyyyyy more annoying than it is helpful.
