Bosch CC2430 Clic-Change 1/4 in. Self-Centering Drill Bit Assortment (3-Piece)

Having tried a few cheaper versions of these self-centering drill bits and not being overly impressed, I decided to give the Bosch version a go and they are brilliant. They are made from hardened steel instead of alloy the cheaper versions are made from and feel heavy duty and well made. The parts all fit together snugly, with very little play, so the drill bit ends up dead center of the hinge screw hole. You can also easily take them apart to replace the drill bit and for cleaning out the sawdust. The only slight downside of these is that as they're made for the US market, they are imperial instead of metric, but can still work fine with our equivalent hinge and screw sizes. The issue arises when eventually needing to replace the drill bit as imperial bits are less common, but still possible to find. Overall I am impressed with these and would definitely recommend if you fit a lot of hinges. It makes the job a lot easier and faster. At the current price of £21.72, I'd say they were good value for the quality and performance.

Worth spending a few more ££ for the quality and durability, i bought cheaper ones several times before and either the spring starts failing or the drill bit needs replacing... Been using these on both hardwood and softwood, vaneered mdf, and treated wet timber, always works the way it should.

Work well great for fitting hinges but they can block up,need to clean them which is easy.Glad i brought them

Excellent hinge drills as you'd expect from Bosch.Used to use the Trend product but their newer versions are DIY grade garbage to be avoided!

Super pratique. On perce enfin au centre sans se prendre la tete et miracle, la pièce est fixée droit. Trois tailles bien choisies, à recommander. Le même pour percer le metal et je serai enfin bien équipé.

Kein Vergleich mit billigen No-Name Produkten. Ich habe davor ähnliche Zentrierbohrer gehabt, die aber eher schlecht als recht funktionierten - obwohl sie fast genau so aussahen. Mit diesem Set bin ich jetzt absolut zufrieden. Es klemmt nichts, sie zentrieren perfekt und arbeiten schnell und zuverlässig. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
