Petzl Core Rechargeable Battery

Amazing. It lasts for a really long time and doesn’t take too long to charge. It also helps reduce waste by not having to get new batteries constantly. I’ve had it for years now and it still retains charge for many hours. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve found the core system to work well and the batteries to be long lasting and durable across 25+ cycles. Shame about the cost and I agree with the other reviewers that the hard on/off battery low behaviour can catch you off guard. I usually travel with a battery pack anyway so easier to recharge the core battery from that rather than carry spares.

Fits well and easy to recharge. Comes with USB connector so can be charged from multiple sources including battery packs and solar panals. Lightest option to as combined weight is 70g (Tactikka 200) around 10g Lighter when compered to 3AAA power source option. Design seems OK but only just received will update after a 12 months of use. Easy to insert into battery compartment. A little pricy and would be nice if it was supplied with a reusable case (waterproof case) . USB charging option means it can be recharged in multiple ways especially useful if out in the field for longer than a few nights. According to paperwork 2-6 hrs power /lighting on full charge. So probably suitable for a weekend. A little more expensive than standard rechargeable AAA batteries but convenient size and single, lightweight power supply device. UPDATE +12 months -- used multiple time and still working well and the battery is keeping its charge - no noticeable reduction in battery life- ideal for weekend out in the wilds / use low illumination / red light most of time.

I have had this head torch with two of these rechargeable batteries for five years. On call all hours as a farm vet it hasn’t let me down. One on charge in van, the other in my head torched. Great buy!

Have been using the battery on a head torch for a few years and it holds the charge well. Even on full power, for the dark winter nights, it doesn't need charging often.

Bought as a present, the recipient was very happy.

I love this little battery. It's proprietary to Petzl products but its tiny, lightweight and easy to swap out when needed.

Ive had a number of these batteries. I have 4 headlamps that use the core battery. My wife and I use them daily. I walk our dogs in evening, work on things in the garage, my wife uses them daily to make jewelry. The headlamps are super helpful. I'm shocked how long these batteries last. We've been using these headlamps for years. DAILY. They have been recharged 1000s of times. They still work like new. Its outstanding. Well done Petzl!

Consigliatissima se fai un uso frequente della torcia frontale (leggi alla fine). Il prezzo non è economico per essere una batteria ricaricabile, ma in poco tempo si rientra dell'investimento risparmiando i soldi per le pile AAA. La durata della batteria è conforme a quanto indicato da Petzl: per la torcia ACTIK a piena potenza (450 lumen) dura circa 2 ore. Vantaggi: - puoi ricaricare la batteria ed essere certo della durata che avrai la prossima volta, senza più avere mille pile AAA mezze usate in giro. - usare la massima luminosità senza paura che la torcia si scarichi o di star usando delle pile non ricaricabili (alla massima potenza in 2 ore consumi tre pile AAA) - più rapida e comoda da montare e smontare rispetto alle tre pile AAA Io ne ho comprata una di scorta! Nota negativa per il vecchio cavetto USB, che però è quantomeno incluso nella confezione. Un rapido calcolo: Ipotizzo che 10 pile AAA costino 4,50€ La batteria PETZL costa 22€, equivalente a 49 pile. 49 pile sono circa 16 utilizzi (da 2 ore se a massima potenza, da 10 ore se a potenza intermedia). In circa 16 utilizzi il costo della batteria eguaglia quello delle tre pile AAA
