Good Quality and Great Value for Money.
Very good quality and great value for money. Sufficiently smart for our needs, we already use a Freesat box & Amazon Fire Box coupled to the HDMI & a VHS recorder & DVD player via the SCART socket. Don't want a so-called smart TV connected to the internet so that all and sundry can gather information on what we watch and when. The tech companies gather enough information as it is without volunteering more. The colours are vibrant and compared to our old plasma, the detail is tremendous, you can see all the wrinkles and count the stubble on people's faces. Spooky. On the whole a great improvement for not a lot of money. Light as a feather which meant installing this was less strenuous and we were able to mount it ourselves, requiring assistance from family to remove the old plasma TV. It is easily far better than the plasma using less energy and directly comparable because both screen sizes are the same. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a no frills telly that can be coupled with SCART & HDMI it also has:- USB, Satellite and coaxial inputs as well as both flavours of Audio Visual RCA connectors and a 3.5mm "stereo out" jack. Very pleased with this purchase, it's intuitive to use for anyone.

Great value for money
Great for the price. Easily turned into a smart tv with Chromecast to watch Netflix, Prime, Disney etc. comes with feet to stand it up but was easily wall mounted as it’s so light. Decent picture and sound. Can’t complain for the price.

its alright for the price .
its a cheap replacement for me ,but the tv is as described ..feels light ,and plasticy ..but for 89 quid im not complaining ,picture quality is not that great until you adjust the settings ..sounds thin ..but run it through a surround and its fine .like i say its a cheap replacement that does what it says on the tin no fancy frills .easy to set up ,just enough connectivity to suit most peoples needs ..all in all its ok for the price .given 4 stars because of the plastic cheap feeland picture quality .

Excellent value
I needed a TV without smart features for my elderly mum. This is perfect. Given it's price it's excellent value. Picture is clear. Sound is a little bit tinny, but no worse than lots of other TV'S double the price.

Looks good but not what I was expecting ...
Ordering process was quick and easy with the tv arriving within a couple of days. The tv is very lightweight and was easily mounted on the wall unfortunately tv operation wasn't so good. On powering up the tv took what seemed like a long time to initialise and produce a picture. The setup of channels process was OK and a lot were found however the picture quality just wasn't good being grainy and unacceptable in my view. I requested and returned the tv the next day which was an easy process. What looked like a bargain just wasn't for me, I may have been unlucky but I wasn't happy with the quality or performance of the tv. It looked a nice set.

42" Standard TV well worth buying
Ordered to upgrade my dad's old 32" Sony. At the price point it was worth a try, even though some reviews were negative. I was suitably impressed with this TV enough for me to order one to replace the one I have, as this comes with a DVB T2 tuner (mine is a DVB T) which means that it has Freeview HD channels. Fingers crossed mine will be just as good. Update: mine was delivered super fast and even on Bank Holiday Monday. I have managed to watch some football on the HD ITV channel, and the 60hz kept up with it well. Great HD picture and sound is decent. I have also connected an old Wii using the provided cables in the box. It works. There is a scart connect, which I have attached my old VCR to. It works. I have used the usb to power my Now TV stick. It works. I have used a USB stick to record live TV. It works. However, there are absolutely zero instructions for using this function so it is very much up to the user to work out. The usual recording via EPG is there, which means that on a TV / Freeview box with a single DVB tuner, if you are watching something at the time it will switch to the programme you have set to record when the time comes. I have zero idea how to delete anything from the usb using the TV either: probably have to take it out and connect it to a computer and do it that way... As with the first TV, when the box came it was so light I wondered if there was even a TV inside. The TV is so lightweight that I would have 100% confidence putting on a bracket on any of the walls in my house. Even a plaster board partition. At this price point I am very happy with the TV. Time will tell of long lasting quality. (Btw, I haven't tried the 3.5mm out yet, nor the optical out. Nor do I have 'cable TV' or a satellite dish, which this also has connections for...) In case anyone is wondering after all of the above, I have docked a star for a few reasons: 1, is that it 'only' has 2 X HDMI when my preference would be for 3. 2, there is only 1 USB socket, so there has to be a choice between making it a smart TV with Now/Firestick/Roku etc (for USB to power) or as a stick Freeview recorder. 3, the remote has to be pointed almost exactly in a straight line to the sensor on the TV for it to register. It is supper fast when it does, and is something that I will get used to, but it is still worth mentioning. Edit. Nearly a whole year on and all of the above still holds. Still excellent picture quality for the price point and cannot fault it, other than the points mentioned above. I considered getting another, smaller one for the bedroom, but my old supermarket TV is still going strong so these will have to stay in My List for the day I need it.
