Backyard remodel ongoing... Contractor offered a Pro Trade 300W transformer - what a dinosaur. Only one output, no connectivity at all, not even a timer. Huge box, super heavy. Enter the Suraielec - after some research, purchased 2 of these 300W units. Love at first sight. Box is probably 30-40% lighter than Pro Trade, has 2 outputs, has a proper external top-mounted whip antenna (not just a loose wire that is subject to placement, typically downwards which affects reception if close to the ground), and has a nice matte black finish, easily paintable. Was concerned with WiFi setup, so plugged in the units inside the house first. WiFi setup was easy and worked immediately on both boxes. Took the boxes outside to the far corner of the yard, and tested connectivity. ON/OFF is nearly instantaneous, very impressive compared to many other IoT devices we have, that often have lag. Five star experience so far. Only question is reliability, we'll see how it goes. For one third the cost of Pro Trade, it's a no-brainer.

I bought two of these one stoped working after a few months. I emailed Suraielec support. Murphy took care of it right away. He emailed me everyday to keep me up to date. I had a new one in less than a week. I have so many other issues in my life but this was so wonderfully handled. Thank you. You have no idea how nice it was and one less issue. Thanks again.

I bought two of these to replace two Home Depot transformers that did their job ok but were stretched. I installed the one for our front lights and it’s powering 26 lights no problem, connected via smart life to Alexa and set on a dusk to dawn setting via the app. Doing the rear transformer tomorrow but the previous owners ran 1 300 ft line so I need to split it and reconnect it. ***UPDATE - I installed the rear transformer. It's powering 36 lights on two lines. Not a hiccup and it too is connected via wifi, running dusk till dawn via the app, and completely controllable via Alexa as well. These are solid transformers with excellent features. We'll see about the longevity. Don’t hesitate to buy this even though it’s a new product. It’s stout and seems very well made.

I purchased (2) of the 300W version for a client and one of them stopped working after a few months. So I purchased a replacement (at my own cost) and THAT one stopped working after a few weeks. So (2) out of (3) are on the junk pile. I'm stumped. They are all in the same location, within a few feet of the WiFi router. They work fine for a while... and then they don't. I've also purchased (3) of the 200W and (1) of the 120W. So far those are all still functioning properly. There is no customer service to call, so I'm stuck with (2) dead 300W transformers. I'm very frustrated and embarrassed by all the troubleshooting I've had to do, without any success. If anyone has an alternative product to recommend, I'm all ears.

I’m not a master electrician but this thing was so simple to set up. I had it installed and all my landscaping lights wired in a few hours. It has totally transformed the look of my yard (at night at least). The functionality is outstanding. I love the smart home and app integration, that was a big selling point to me. I can command it with Alexa, and set timers, colors, etc. all through the app. Very easy to use interface even if you are not tech savvy. And best of all, no major change in my power bill either. One drawback is that it surviving the elements too well. It looks as if it is disintegrating even though its outdoor location is fairly protected. Hopefully it lasts a while because I really do love it.

I purchased this item even though it had no reviews at the time, the selling points are 300 watts, 2 zones, integral wifi and the price ($119). I have had the unit running for about 2 weeks so I can't comment on the durability. Installing it was easy, the two channels are helpful to control 2 zones, in my case the front and back yard lighting. Each zone has both 12v nd 15v connections and can be operated independently via the app or by the switches on the transformer. I mounted the unit on an exterior wall and the unit connected flawlessly to my wifi AP located about 30 feet away and inside my home. The Alexa integration works well and with little lag time. With Alexa, I scheduled the unit to turn the lights on 15 minutes before sunset and off at 1:00 am, there have been no issues with it operating that way. The unit appears to be well made and I am happy with the purchase, I'll update this review if I have any issues with the product.

The Suraielec 300W Wi-Fi Low Voltage Transformer arrived and I was more than surprised at the quality of construction. It blows away the unit I am replacing. Installation took less than 5 minutes to mount the unit on the wall and connect the wires. I already had the Smart Life app installed so I just had to follow the instructions to connect the unit to my app. The instructions for this part of the setup were precise and accurate. It literally took me less than 3 minutes to have the low voltage transformer added to my Smart Life app. I have to say that I was a little worried about that part as some of the reviews for Smart Low Voltage Transformers are quite negative. I am happy to report that this was one of the easiest setups I have had and I have over 35 smart products in my collection. The app controls the transformer. I set up the on/off schedule for both zones without issues. I can manually turn each zone on and off from the app and the reaction time is almost instant. I am on day 2 of using this transformer and smart functions and could not be happier. I will update this review as time goes on with any changes to my opinion of the unit.

Great product. But very difficult to pair to wifi for pairing to phone app. It only pairs with a 2.4 mghz server not common 5.0 mhz. Still trying to connect with phone. Work Great manually.
