A very versatile glaze to be used with other Amaco Potters choice glazes. It causes stable glazes to flow and so you get really nice waterfall effects

I’m in a group studio so no control over firing but 3 coats at supposedly cone 6 were blotchy.

Amaco glazes are reliable and versatile. Oatmeal is a favorite because the neutral color alone holds its own and gives you the appreciation of the form, but it gives you great flow when mixed with other glazes. The oysters show it over a rubbed back amber brown for that earthy color. Buying glazes on Amazon with prime is a no brainer because their prices are comparable to most other dealers with free shipping

This is a great product and I'm looking forward to using it again on my pottery pieces. However, recently I've noticed that items shipped to me, especially those that are prone to leaking if damaged, are not packed well. This pint jar was rolling around loose in a larger box. There was no packing material used. Fortunately, it was not leaking. I've read other reviews recently of poorly packed glaze containers that were broken and leaking through the shipping box. Head's up Amazon! Your shipping departments need to get their act together.
