We have cats and dogs. To keep the dogs out of certain rooms we use this. Bought our first one over a year ago and it still works great.

I have a VERY smart cat who has unfortunately learned how to open and close doors with lever-handles by watching me. He is adorable and we love him, but he is also high maintenance. I work from home, and like a toddler, he begins to act out when he feels he isn't getting enough attention. Most notably, opening and closing the door to the closet where his litter box resides. He knows I will have to get up and re-open it so there isn't a risk of an accident, and I could swear he gets enjoyment out of it. Seriously, he is a jerk (but again, we love him). I bought this so I could keep the door firmly ajar without him being able to open or close it. It does the trick, brilliantly. He stared at it for a good 20 minutes trying to work it out after I put it on, but admitted defeat. I have it on a bathroom linen closet and it is very easy to undo so I can get in and out, but sturdy enough so that he can't mess without no matter how hard he tries. In addition to keeping larger animals out of cat spaces, if you have a very smart boy like I do, this will be your new best friend.

I use this on my cellar door. It allows my cat to go through to use the litter box but keeps my dogs from going down. I have two young granddaughters who come to visit. This worked well when they were crawling but once they can walk then they can easily release the door. So the easy release is both a pro and a con. For me it is a pro as I use it for my pets. If you are using it for a walking baby then do not rely on it. That is why I gave it 4 stars. If it was strictly marketed to keep larger pets out then I would give it 5 stars.

This is SO clever! It holds the interior door open just enough for the cats to go in/out of the screen porch while keeping most of the air conditioned air in! Very easy to unlatch & relatch when humans use the door! Great little device!

This is SO handy. Easy peasy to install. Bought it to keep toddler out of cat boxes in spare room. Cats easily pass into the room. Easy for adult to enter the room. Would highly recommend, would purchase again if needed in another room.

I hav3 a huge black cat that pushes my bedroom door wide open whenever they come through it! I live w/my older parents so my cat Onyx and I are in my bedroom a lot. I have to keep the door open all the time b/c his food and litter box aren't in the bedroom. This was one of the best devices i've gotten to help our situation.

Amazing product! Yes it keeps the dog out of the cat litter but also it keeps gusts of wind from closing the door where the litter box is!!! Truly so helpful I tell everyone about them
