Great on Vinyl (if you’re lucky to get a good copy
As usual I’ll concentrate on the product itself. This review is for the vinyl version Two records are perfect but disc 3 is a bit warped and what looks like some sort of soft material on the playing surface on ‘new life’ makes my stylus jump so I cleaned the disc on my wet record cleaning machine and all is well now. The sound quality is really very good and the fact that 18 tracks has been spread over three records is good because the grooves are wider apart and therefore higher quality sound. If you have a half decent record player etc, (not a crappy all in one suitcase jobby) you’ll enjoy this compilation and Depeche Mode never sounded better. As usual with vinyl, it’s the luck of the drawer whether you get a perfect copy.

Superb
I bought this CD recently, as I love music of this genre. Although I was not a huge DM fan back in the day, I knew enough of their earlier hits to make this purchase worthwhile. Having now listened to it, I can honestly say that it is absolutely superb. It took me right back to the 1980s and I enjoyed all of the songs, without skipping any of them. I was pleased that Just Can't Get Enough was on here, as that was one of the very first singles that I ever bought. Although this CD only covers the early part of their career, it's still an essential purchase for casual and diehard DM fans alike. It's excellent value and is guaranteed to get any 80s party started. If you love 80s music and you love DM, then get this. You certainly won't be disappointed!
