We bought this for our 12 year old grandson's birthday. He brought it on our family camping trip and was busy all 3 days with "catch and release" :) it was also nice to have extra containers so that he could share with his cousins.

Reminds me of the ones I had as a kid. Love that my kids can have their own. Already been used and the additional plastic spider is a win.

Not very durable. Already have had to glue lenses to the red and green pieces as they don't stay assembled.

These stood up well to their first outing with 6 and 10yo grandkids. The magnifier snapped off of one of them at one point, and we just snapped it back on. I like that the lid stays on pretty good, something that wasn't true of some that we've had in the past. Definitely worth the money.

My boys love to collect bugs - they do this for hours on end, so they were super excited about these. The main feature that attracted me was the built-in magnifiers. What a great idea to have the magnifying glasses on the bug catcher, so there is no searching for the inevitably lost magifying glass that comes with most larger catchers. The lids stay on well and the magnifying glasses work great. I only took off a star because of the plastic construction, which is not the most durable to withstand little boys outdoors. Other than that, these are great fun and I recommend them.
