J56 4/4M Pro-Arte 4/4 Scale Medium Tension Violin String Set

So far very happy with strings. Put them on my 'lesser' violin, and have improved sound no end. Pleasure to play (although this is a very personal thing) and really suit the violin, producing a rich, mellow tone and softening any harshness; it also feels like there is scope to do much more with this violin now. Decent sound all the way up fingerboard on all 4 strings. Have only just started using them so some drifting between playing, but on the whole immediately held tuning better than other brands do even after several months. Arrived v quickly, and very reasonably priced, despite delivery to UK from the States. Very pleased; would buy this product from this vendor again.

Good tone

What can you say about a recognised product that is used all over the world. Not every string make suits ever.y violin but as a medium priced set these are good.

these are very nice strings and good value - i bought some cheap ones previously and boy am i glad i ditched them and got these - they have a nice warm tone and feel good quality which is proportionate to the price - i play traditional irish/scottish plus old time and these are just the job - would recommend them for the warm tone etc but even as a safe option if you're finding it hard to work out what strings to get..

These strings have given my stentor violin a more mellow tone over the original metal strings supplied with the instrument. Took about 4 weeks to be fully stretched (apart from the metal E which only took a couple of days) but I found them easy enough to tune.

I bought these to change my violin's tone which was too bright and harsh - they have certainly made it more mellow. The strings settled quickly and have lasted about 3 weeks in good condition. Well worth the money, thanks very much!

Exactly what I wanted. With the prime delivery it arrived just in time for me to repair the snapped E String before my concert! Recommended by my teacher, these help give my violin a very sweet sound and has lovely tone and quality.

I needed a set of strings to quieten down a loud violin. These strings, once settled down, produce a lovely clear, warm tone.

ギターで同じブランド名/メーカーの弦を使ったことがあったので、バイオリンの方はどんな感じかと、興味があって試してみました。 音は「ツルツル」という言葉がピッタリ来る感じ。嫌な音ではなく、クセがない。「ツヤツヤ」ではなく、ツルツルな音。透明なプラスチックやガラスの様な印象の音でした。 私の好みの音（優しい感じの、温かみのある音）というわけではありませんでしたが、十分によい弦だと思いました。 あと、テールピース側に巻いてある糸が、鮮やかな赤と青のネジネジ（e線だけは赤一色）、ボールは金色で、見た目がかわいい。

I am an ABRSM grade 8 violinist. I have been playing for almost 10 years and this set is the best string's set I have ever come across. Though the durability of E string lasts for the first three months of use, the remaining strings last well with not much change in quality. If you have an experience with D'Addario's Prelude, or strings of local brand, the stark difference is the absence of sharp/loud metallic sound and unique softness in ProArte (the sound is quite harmful and annoying to all violinists). If you are an orchestra player or have a performance, the nylon core of the string set will help to give a warm tone in your performance without any additional noises. Note: If you are a first time user of nylon core strings then you must keep patience for the first few weeks. Nylon strings take time to settle down and you might have to keep tuning your violin every now and then. However, once settled, it doesn't go off tune quickly unlike other strings.
