It feels sturdy and well made
This fits the Coleman screw top butane/propane gas containers very well. It feels sturdy and well made, and has a good plastic flow adjuster. I haven't tested it under field conditions, but I think it's the best stove currently available for camping. I shopped around a lot for a sturdy stove that directly fitted to the cylinder. I didn't give it five stars because it cost ยฃ20 so isn't a bargain, and with a large gas outlet ring, it's less wind resistant than my trusty 30 year old stove from Coleman (still going strong). I've bought two other stoves this year. One was way too flimsy and small to hold a large pan. The other had a tube between the stove and canister, and flared up dangerously. I camp in a tent most Mondays.

Heavy but good.
Belting stove! Great quality and didnt cost an arm and a leg! Pretty heavy but it does just twist on to the gas and work easily, no faffing about.

Initially faulty - gas control valve leaked - but replaced immediately by Primus/Silva
EDIT after stove replaced: Contacted Primus online about the fault. They responded immediately -- then redirected me to the local Primus agent, who replaced the stove immediately. So customer service was excellent. I tested the new stove with the soapy water test (see orig review below). NO leaks when valve is shut off tight. The original stove must have had manufacturing debris inside or a poor valve seat. Interestingly, there is an immediate slow gas flow if the control valve is moved away from off tight just the slightest amount (1mm or less). This must be the nature of the needle valve. There is no hysteresis. So be careful to ensure the valve is kept shut off very firmly whenever a canister is attached. The new stove is now on long-term test with me weighing the stove and canister every few days to ensure the gas weight doesn't change. But seems good. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Original review below - (Placed here so I could upload a video to show Primus). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Unfortunately the brand new product is faulty - straight out of the box. Tested the stove once by attaching a new canister and lighting up. All good. Good burning operation and couldn't hear any leaks. Turned it off. Then put it aside in my van ready for my next trip. When I checked it 2 months later, the canister felt really light! It had leaked. Weighed it. Then rechecked the weight daily. The stove was losing about 6g of gas per day. ~40g per week. Hence the draining of the new canister. I rechecked the stove operation. All good, then turned it off firmly and repeated the weight experiment. Same daily rate of gas loss. I then did some experiments applying soapy water around the stove/canister interface. No leak. Then repeated the soapy water experiment on the output of the main control valve -- when it was turned off. The attached video shows the result. A small gas leak, from the output of the main valve, with the valve firmly off. It's now past 30 days, so I must contact the Manufacturer/Supplier.

I purchased the Primus Mimer stove hoping that I will use it on my hikes. Months later when the time came, I packed it and off we went for an hike. Unfortunately it did not work as I realised the pin that pushed back the valve on the butane canister is missing. Did not expect this quality from an outdoor brand like Primus. I do not know what to do as it is out of return date.
