This shovel has officially become my favorite piece of metal detecting gear. The build quality is outstanding — heavy-duty, sturdy, and zero flex when you’re digging into tough ground. The serrated edges slice through roots and compacted soil like nothing, and the grip is comfortable enough for long hunts without tearing up your hands. The real test for me came when I used it to carefully extract a Civil War U.S. belt plate I located on a property with permission. That soil was a mix of roots, sand, and stubborn hardpack, and this shovel gave me the control I needed to dig slow and precise without risking damage to the relic. Clean edges, clean cuts, and clean recovery. That alone made it worth every penny. It’s the perfect size for detecting — compact enough to carry, but plenty big for pulling plugs and digging deeper targets. This is a quality, strong shovel and they weren't kidding when they described it as heavy duty. It cuts through roots and sod easily. Perfect for digging out finds when metal detecting. Doesn't rust, and too heavy duty to bend. Works MUCH, MUCH better than trying to use an ordinary garden trowel. It isn't combersome to handle or carry, and it has a handy sheath to keep you safe. Very pleased with it!

very durable solid well made

I do wish this little hand shovel was a little wider but it performs very well. I think you would have to be careful with it in very very hard dirt trying to pry up as I think it would bend at the handle.

It's a good one. It has a nice heavy duty thick steel blade that will not bend or break, having a sheath for it is a bonus. Highly recommend.

Heavy duty metal digger with inch measuring marks on the back side. It feels heavy and well made but only time will tell for durability. It is very sharp right out of the box and a great value I think. The design fits comfortably in my hand but the rubber handle cover may have to be glued on at some point as it was easy to remove.

Impressed... made things much easier - Nice and sturdy cuts through very nicely. I just wish it had Velcro or a clip instead of the belt loop. But, yeah.. I love it!!!

This item is well built and very sturdy. I can't see any reason why it shouldn't last for years. Good price point and quick delivery.

This makes digging easy and keeps the plug nice and neat, so I can put it back cleanly in the ground. Before I got this, I used a couple of cheap ones from the 1-coin shop—they didn’t last long. This one is very solid.

Bought for Christmas but looks great. Very solid and good quality. Be great for digging in the ocean.
