Ok so I had a metal bin just like this a few years ago, a few actually...they all broke...yeah. So I stuck to cheapo swing bins, but thought I'd give this a try, as swing bins are awful for kitchen usage, they get disgustingly dirty really fast. So yeah, saying if it'll break or not is hard. My last push top bins didn't break within the first few months, but within the year, which considering how much they cost is still disgusting. But this does have a simpler design, and less parts, less parts that can break...right? The metal ones I got had a plastic ring thing that went under the lid, I think to hide the bin bag, this just has the bin and the lid, though with my metal bins it was actually the push top function that broke. But yeah, it seems well made, but we'll see. But in any case, if you are getting a push top bin deffos get a plastic one. Metal ones can go for double this, easily...and if you have a good read through their descriptions often the "metal" alternatives are actually part metal, part plastic anyways, to get an actual solid metal push top bin you have to shell out a crapload. Even if you can afford it,well just because you have money, doesn't mean you should wase it. So yeah, it seems well built, I wouldn't exactly call it cheap, but it's about as cheap as you're gonna get, so very satisfied for the moment, just hope it lasts.

Bin is a good size and sits nicely in the corner. Came quickly packaged well. Button works fine for us. Price was brilliant

This bin is perfect for the price it’s smaller at the bottom than at the top so it makes it easier to remove bag. The only downside is the release button on the lid, it’s very stiff and you have to press really hard, l’m worried this will break at some point soon. But only just started using it two weeks ago so we’ll see.

Great bin, feels flimsy when you first get it and the opening mechanism seems like it'll break in halfhour.... but It definitely doesn't. Takes a few goes to wear in the opening catch then it's great. Stylish, easy to clean, large inside. Exactly what you want from a bin.

After our simply human bin catch gave up saw the reviews for this bin and although a bit skeptical of the value for the price thought we should give it a go. Been working for a couple of months so far with no issues. Catch is a bit stiff so my children cannot always open it, free childlock included in the price! Due to the shape of the bin, binbags come out really easily and don't split leaving a mess to clean up when emptying the bin. Can also tuck the overlying binbag into the top overlap making the whole bag change process much easier than more expensive bins.

Only had a couple of weeks and the lid either will not open or randomly pops open, not the best bin.

It’s a great bin but the button has a weak design to ensure a limited lifespan. It lasts less than a year, one only lasted six months. Continual replacement becomes tedious and it’s bad for the environment.
