Such a silly little item but I love it so much. Functional too. I thought my toothpicks were going to be stuck when putting on the lid and nope, they were just fine. Love it

GREAT Toothpick Holder for Your Table
Let me start by saying I'm an AVID toothpick user! My dad and grandfather were the same, and I learned from them. So I'm an expert on toothpicks of all types (square rounds are the best ... round at tips, and square in middle).First impressions: WOW! This is a heavy holder - nothing flimsy about this. The marble look is cool. Next - my toothpicks are 2-1/2" long; the top of the holder has an inside dimension of 2-1/2" ... perfect. Third - the top and bottom mate perfectly. And sitting on your table, it will generate conversations (what is that? it's not a salt shaker ... what is it?) Fourth - the actual usage ... this is why I didn't rate it 5 stars ... the bottom half (holds the toothpicks) is only 1" deep. Since the mid-point of a toothpick is 1-1/4", when you remove the top the toothpicks "splay out" too much. They should have made the sides of the bottom 1/2" higher, so the toothpicks would sit more upright; when you go to put the cover back on, you have to grasp and jiggle the toothpicks so they all fit under the cover; if the sides of the bottom were 1/2" higher, that issue would disappear.I LIKE IT!
