Opsite Flexifix Transparent Film Roll 5cmx1m

I brought this product after my practice nurse removed my post op dressing and sutures following a knee replacement that had resulted in an 8cm wound. The clean dressing the nurse applied, looked very similar to the Opstite dressing used in hospital (on discharge I had been issued some small ones to cover a sore patch)but the adhesion was virtually none existent. Quick order from Amazon and next day delivery resolved the problem. I used a quality dressing beneath the tape and it stayed tight for two weeks. Ultra light, blends with your skin tone, shower proof, totally flexible a little pricey maybe ...but worth every penny I'm going to keep a roll in our first aid box! Having read some reviews where individuals have experienced lack of adhesion to their skin, its best to make sure your skin is clean and dry and use no creams or lotions before the tape is applied. I have used ice packs and massage cream around knee joint to help reduce swelling and it has not compromised the adhesion at all👍

This stuff has saved me a total of around £100 so far. I'm a diabetic and I use the Freestyle Libre glucose monitoring system. I don't know if it's a bad batch or just bad luck, but I've had 3 sensors now where the glue did not stick. The first time it happened, Abbott refused to replace, claiming user damage. £50 down the drain. I learned my lesson and bought some of this stuff. The glue on the sensors has failed twice since (implying faulty batch, not user error), but luckily I've recognised that very quickly, and have been able to slap some of this stuff on to keep it securely in place. Both times the sensor has worked fine, and the film has lasted extremely well over the 2 week life of the sensor. I'm sure this is excellent stuff for wounds and other medical purposes, but that's just a bonus for me. So, thank you Smith & Nephew, you saved me a small fortune with this stuff.

Wouldn't be without it! Easy to apply once you understand how it works, seals completely and is totally showerproof - for days. We use this with a piece of lint dressed with honey and it seals in the honey completely with no leaks. Easy to remove by stretching which makes it non sticky.

This product is amazing at covering cuts / wounds while they heal. I’d cut the palm of my hand on some glass, and no matter how I tried I couldn’t get a normal Elastoplast plaster to stick. Then I found this and voila - kept it covered and clean, and healed so quickly. The only downside is it isn’t particularly waterproof so washing hands usually led to it needing to be reapplied.

Fantastic , waterproof and great staying power. I prefer to use lint and then this over the top , than using a plaster, stays on until you need to take it off! Great for use for operation wound protection when you need to shower or bathe, water doesn’t get in.

Quite expensive but at the same time they did keep my wound dry! I put extra around the edges of my already waterproof dressing to try keep my post op wound dry at a 7 year olds pool party and worked perfect! Would recommend

Finally I've found a solution for keeping medical patches on, if they've started to peel away. I've used micro pore tape, which is less than ideal. This product is 100% effective at keeping patch down! and staying down. It's very thin, so no bulk. I'm delighted. This is especially good in this hot weather, or if patch has gone on badly. Well worth the money.

Absolute rubbish. It has ZERO stick, and went straight in the bin.

J'ai testé ce ruban, il reste en place tout le long de la journée et est bien waterproof. Info complémentaire : dans un sauna (très haute température), le ruban se décolle à certains endroits mais rien d'alarmant. Je recommande
