Who should order extra firm density?

The extra firm is not made from "pure plastic" but is instead made from the same foam found on the Trigger Point GRID "X" foam roller. It's pretty dense - most people will probably prefer the regular density. On the other hand, some users with extra-tight muscles or knots may appreciate the extra firm option.

how significant is the difference between regular and extra firm?  which one do you prefer?

I think I got the  regular  but I  find it  to still be to firm. I find it hard to roll or rub along. I find the smooth  rollers easier and more effective. I found the notches effective in my caves  but not on my thighs  or back.

Hi! I am a Personal Trainer and I work at a gym, we order stuff to try for time to time. I don't like giving bad reviews, but I'd rather recommend that you get the tiger tail one, i've used both. And even though I absolutely love Trigger Point's grid foam roller, this stick just doesn't do it. It does not slide correctly and it is harger to massage.
