I suddenly have a very wobbly, recently walking, very precious grand-daughter running (and mostly stumbling) around my home and searched high and low to find a guard that would work size-wise on my Morso wood burner. Most were just the wrong shape and NONE were tall enough. I measured carefully and found this one. I couldn't be happier, I am over the moon with this. It functions perfectly as a complete guard around the burner and the guard doors (which also have a safety latch) can be opened to add wood and closed up when the baby is about - (adding some large bits of wood would require lifting the guard away to fully open the wood burner door, but it opens enough for normal sized pieces). It is light-weight, yet sturdy, can be attached to a wall on both sides if you want (with the provided fixings) or left free-standing as I have done, as a nearby radiator wedges it in anyway. It also folds up easily for storage and required no assembly. Although it is quite expensive, it is invaluable to me for peace of mind with a young toddler around and a stumble could be the difference between an 'oops' moment and third degree burns! Therefore worth every penny to settle my frayed nerves! It also LOOKS REALLY NICE... which is just the cherry on the cake, highly recommended and so happy that Crannog actually make something that works of this type of wood-burner. 🤩

Really lovely fire guard. Great with the hooks at the back so it can’t be moved or pushed back accidentally. The doors are so handy. Looks great too. I had a small issue with my first one with the hook, but customer services were great and helpful. Quickly resolved it.

The pictures relate more than words will. The general quality is very good and it is very sturdy and fit for purpose to protect the fire from athletic cats. Only two door magnets, at the bottom, but these are very strong. Came with good wall fittings. A few manufacturing and storage defects detract from the quality though, including some paint chipped off the handle and some not very pretty tack weld points on the front fascias. The reason it really lost a star is for the left door. The metal is clearly significantly warped and does not sit even close to flush like the other one. If the hook is closed, it mostly covers it up but we shouldn't have to work around something like that. We will probably buy two small adhesive magnets to supplement the ones at the bottom, which might sort it. Overall, it is of good quality and fit for purpose but for £90, I expected a little better.

Well made, robust and nicely finished.

We bought this guard to protect our new puppy from our free standing wood burner. It is a good fit for Arrow Ecoburn 7 plus reaching the chimney breast on either side and having about 15 cm gap all round. The twin doors have a magnetic latch and open wide enough to permit stoking and tending the fire. The guard is tall enough to conceal the heat transfer fan on top of the stove. It is perfect for our needs and sturdy enough to last in routine use. Being simple in design, it blends well with the log burner and other ironwork in the fireplace. WELL WORTH CONSIDERING.

This Company is absolute class! I bought a fireguard from them but the doors at the front did not close properly with the magnets. I contacted the seller and they apologised and immediately send a replacement out which works perfectly. It’s perfect for protecting my new puppy from my log burner. It’s sturdy and well made and is a really attractive design as well. I am very impressed and highly recommend.

We bought this to put around our front-loading wood stove, so it’s great to have the doors instead of having to move the screen every time. The screen arrived assembled and in perfect condition. I believe that the reviews that show it dented, dirty, etc. are due to poor handling by the shipper, not the company who makes them. Our local UPS is great :) We don’t have it attached to the wall because our stove sticks out too far, but my kids have already put the screen to the test by crashing into it a couple times. The screen protected them from the stove and survived without any dents!
