Is this lock fail-secure or fail-open? i want a fail-secure

It's fail-secure. Locks if no voltage on it. But easy to kick door in if this is only lock holding it.

Hi, can anyone help? When lock is activated should the catch release immediately or on 2nd pull/push of door, thanks, Phil

Hi, The lock will release when energised, please note, the silver gate will NOT 'flip' open, it relies on someone pushing or pulling the door to make the door lock move through the silver gate, opening the door. If the lock release requires you to push and pull to get the lock to travel then the lock release is fitted incorrectly and the door lock is too tight and is pushing against the silver gate on the lock release, this puts a strain on the levers inside and stops the lock release operating freely, in which case you will need to adjust your lock release installation to address this issue. Hope this helps! Wholesale Security
