Oral-B Pro 500 Electric Toothbrush with (1) Brush Head, Rechargeable, Black

I have been a Oral-B user for many years with very good results. Finally came time to replace my well used and worn out model and after a lot of researching of their current products, I choose this one. Just happens to be one of their lowest cost electric brushes also! I just wanted something to do a good job at cleaning my teeth and did not need or want all the other "fancy bells and whistles" that they try to sell for much higher prices. And for me, all that other "stuff", is just waste of money. Pro's - 1. Does a very good job at cleaning teeth. 2. This model has 3 (three) power levels not just 2 as description says. Maybe newer model and just not updated listing? Three is better than two! 3. This "cheaper" model will take the "older" style of replacement heads. Newer more expensive models take a different style of replacement head that tends to be more expensive. 4. This version of Oral-B electric toothbrush has a "rubberized" coating that makes it much easier to hold on to. Most all other models don't have this type of coating and when it gets wet, becomes very slippery. Con's - 1. I do wish it had a charging indicator light. But, considering that this is a lower priced "base" model, I have nothing to complain about. To me, this is a great electric toothbrush at a very fair price. ***And to those that complain about their toothbrush heads getting really dirty and "gross" inside the brush head. Easy fix! When you are finished brushing, take the brush head off and run water through the bottom. Problem fixed! All nice and clean! Not sure why adults can't figure that out for themselves!? ***

I love my oral b toothbrush. Their quality is amazing the brush heads are soft and it is easy to use, there is nothing noise level to me anyway, and my dentist said my teeth are looking better.

Read a review that recommended this version of this toothbrush because it had a non slip body. Glad I read that review. I was looking at the more expensive one that didn’t have this. I chose the oral b because of the small brush head that seemed like it would be easier to maneuver around my mouth. I have to say it is perfect. The charge lasts a long time. I lose track and I know it’s two weeks or more between charges. It cleans way better than my old manual brush. I really wish I had gotten this sooner. It’s quiet and works well and is comfortable to use.

I got this because was recommended by my hygienist. Works fine. 3 settings are nice but not necessary. I really like the 30s time intervals and 2 minute intervals. Things I would change tho: needs light or some indication when low on battery. Literally will just die mid brushing my teeth so I have no idea when it needs a charge, kinda annoying. I guess I could just leave it permanently charging but personally I don't like things plugged in unnecessarily. Second thing is there a hole in the back of the head stem and for some reason makes brushing my teeth super messy since there is no suction for me to hold the mouth juices in lol. Third, the brush itself and charging mount need to be regularly cleaned. The black brush shows so much residue and the charging block accumulates water and grime. Pretty gross 🤢

Its great, my son loves it and helps to keep his teeth clean. After using it for about a year I can say it works great, charger works good and fast, battery last great. Would buy it again and for sure would recommend everyone who is looking for electric toothbrush.

I have owned about 5 Oral-B electric toothbrushes. I upgraded to the Pro 500 and it died after 6 months. But since they are warranted for 2 years, they are sending me a new one at no charge. Great product and great service.

Being a newbie to the electric toothbrush world, I am very impressed with the Oral-B Pro 500. In my estimation, its very easy to use, less expensive aftermarket brush heads are readily available if economy is important, its not loud, and the vibration is tolerable.*. (see below) The timing feature, which activates as a "stutter" every 30 seconds, and a triple "stutter" at 2 mins is especially handy. It will continue cycling this way for as long as you care to brush. I know this because after a full tooth brushing session, I continue on and use the Oral-B for gum stimulation and for tongue and palate cleaning (to guard against potential thrush-from an inhaler). *So far I have only used the slowest speed for full brushing sessions and that is more than adequate for my needs. I noticed right away that if I speed it up to EITHER the medium or high speed settings, I have a few sensitive teeth that don't like the faster vibration.

A simple, stripped-down, mostly-painless entry into the world of electric toothbrushes. Downsides: 1. The unit lacks a charging light. When you rest the brush on the charger, there's no way to know whether it's actually charging without employing a clumsy workaround (pushing the "on" button. If the unit won't turn on while mounted on the charging stand, then apparently it's charging. There's also no way to know when it's fully charged). 2. The brush has multiple speeds and modes, but you have to cycle through ALL of them to turn it off. Not ideal. 3. The included brush-head is tiny, and won't cover much dental territory. You have to brush for a relatively long duration to fully clean your teeth. 4. Changing heads is easy, but unappealing (there's a thin metal stick under the head, and you have to jam the new head down on that flimsy metal spike). Bottom line: this brush is...fine. You get what you pay for.
