Dakine Modular Mat Stomp Pad

Excellent and inexpensive stomp pad, Ice scraper works as well to remove stubborn snow off the bottom of my boot before binding up. Good traction for riding off the lift. Never had issues with adhesion

The adhesive held up for a full day of riding, is still holding strong, and the grip it provided for my boot was great. I especially like being able to feel the spine of the middle part on my foot.

Over the years, this has become my favorite stomp pad. I've now put one of these on four of my boards. The center scraper is a perfect height to be effective (more for additional traction when one-footing than actual scraping), without being too tall to cause your boot to pivot over-much. I really like the multi-piece design, as it allows you to place the outer pieces where you want. I always try to keep them an inch or so from the board edge so as not to drag when in soft stuff, but they're still really low profile. The clear is my favorite. The board graphic below is still visible (just make sure to follow the directions; use a hairdryer or heat gun, and press the scraper from center, moving outward). I've mounted the opaque black as well, and it feels stiffer than the clear. Might just be me, but this is another reason I prefer the clear. You can also see how well it's wetting/adhering to the board as you're installing it. Long write-up for a simple item, but I'm a big fan of this design and of many Dakine accessories. Happy riding!

This is my second purchase of the Dakine Modular Mat Stomp Pad. This stomp pad is easy to install, and I love that it is modular so I can set it up in whatever configuration I want on the board. Prior to installation I just cleaned the board with some rubbing alcohol to make sure all the dirt and grease were off and then heated up both the board and the pad with a hair drier. Once on the board I stood on the pads for a minute or two to make sure the adhesive was really pressed in. The recommendation is that this sit for 24 hours before use but I've successfully applied it 12-16 hours before taking it on the mountain and it held well throughout the day and is still strongly applied.

The instructions say to heat up the board and glue before installing. Heating up the glue on the pad causes it to peel right off. Only 2/3 pieces had the adhesive stay on for application. The adhesive is also not clear, it's a yellowish fabric like tape. The actual stomp pad material is clear. Very disappointed

Great and sturdy stomp pad! Stays on all season and it gets a ton of use! Great grip and looks awesome. Would highly recommend.
