Second purchase of this as it works so well. I wish I had a photo of the part of our tent that I missed spraying as it was completely black with midges where the rest of the tent was clear. I have sprayed it on our merino clothing and water-resistant hiking trousers and no adverse effects. One bottle covered our MSR Elixir2 tent - inner and outer, plus both sides of the ground sheet, two pairs of trousers, four merino tops, possibly two gotetex shell jackets and our gloves. We still have a drop left but it looks like we need one bottle per trip.

Used for camping in UK, it’s a little large to take on holiday in suitcase. Didn’t get bitten.

I suffer from Skeeter Syndrome and am wary when travelling abroad. A NHS nurse recommended spraying this on my clothes before travelling. Went to Kenya for 3 weeks and had no bites. Yes it does smell, but I would rather have that than covered in bites. Highly recommend.

Took this into the mekong and the wilder bits of Vietnam and neither of us were bitten; result! Just a couple of points that might help. This is not a universal spray for all flying beasties - its to stop mosquitos. Do not expect it to stop ticks, flys, lice etc - 'cos it isn't designed to do that. Point two - if you are away for more than two weeks you will need to take another spray and respray your clothing. It does state quite clearly after two weeks it starts to loose power and if you wash your gear regularly (as we did) I would suggest two weeks is the MAXIMUM before a respray. All quite simple to do and no stains on our clothing and only a very faint smell but my word it kept the mozzies at bay! Final hint, take a spray to use on your mosquito netting it adds an extra layer of protection.

Seems to work, spray over tent or tarp, had no stains of it, keeps the insects at bay for a time, only works for the day definitely not a week, very poisonous to animals so beware, especially cats

As someone who seems to attract every biting insect within a mile, having sprayed this on my outdoor gear, I seem to have avoided getting bitten by ticks and mosquitoes the past year on numerous hikes. Though it works, the smell of the product is quite awful and I'm not sure I'd use it again.
