Yes, one got a good few labels out of the first one, ordered more aswell though, the tape that came with it was black writing on clear

Will Thais machine take ribbon tap

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by ribbon tape? The label maker takes cassettes, which are loaded with the laminated label tape. You can order them through amazon at the same time as the label maker.

Do you need batteries and are they included

Hi There, It does not come with batteries unfortunately. It takes six Treble A batteries. I bought this for my wife she loves it 👍. Hope this has helped 😊. All the best Stuart
