This review is for the USB C Hub, Acodot 9 in 1 Type C Hub Adapter Portable Docking Station Aluminum Dongle. First, I know very little about such things as this device. With that said, I'll continue. I first purchased one of these devices a couple of years ago for our office. Having had no issues in that time I purchased a second one for my radio room. ( Amateur radio ). I was impressed right away because, unlike the splitter that this one was replacing, the computer and the keyboard were no longer kicked offline every time I transmitted with more than 100 watts of power. Nice! Anyway, this device looks and feels very well made. I have had no problems at all. But, again, I now little about how the device works. To some it might be very slow at transferring data and such. For me it works just fine, others may disagree. Look into what the device can do BEFORE you buy one and then decide it is not what you need and leave a bad review. Worth the price? For me it was. How long will it last? May a day, maybe 10 years. Who knows, it's an electronic device.

This hub is very versatile, well made, and a good value.

Works okay. USB-C port on the device does not seem to work with iLok usb-c dongle which is a bit annoying as I intended to use that in that spot. It lights up but doesn't read on the computer. Not sure if it is just a bad port on the one I got or what.

Most new computers do not have enough USB ports, this item fixes this problem. The color, design, compact size are great. I do not have a problem with over- heating and very good quality.

Works ok. However, the usbc did not work. I didn’t find out until it was too late to return. The hdmi plug goes in and out; I’m not sure if it is the hub or something else going on with my monitor. The cord is very short; I didn’t notice this before buying. I had to buy an extension for my purposes. If you buy, I suggest that you test all plugs upon delivery. Three stars may be too generous, but I figure some is my fault for not checking it out better and I may just have a lemon that I could have returned. Edit: after a little trouble shooting, realized that the usbc and hdmi worked fine after removing the extension cord that I bought for it. The cord is way too short but seems to be the case for many of these. Could have made this 4 instead of 5 stars, but that was my fault for not paying attention before ordering.

My computer set up is a real miss-mash. My desktop is old and was built for my specifications at that time, but works perfectly, it just lacks ports, especially USBs. I have two printers, one for printing and one as a scanner and don’t forget the USB music speaker because my monitor doesn’t have sound. I also have a USB lava lamp, but no USB to plug it into. Hence, when I saw this 9 in 1 USB multiport adaptor, I could see my future being re-arranged. I chose this model because it has the right number of USB 3s, some USB 2s which are prefect for my printers, cards slots so I can easily send data to and from my phone and camera (sending data to my phone is very difficult before today). I’m also thinking of upgrading the monitor, so the addition of an HDMI is wonderful; the rear of my computer doesn’t offer this option. The top motivator for me was the addition of a USB C, which will get plenty of use. I looked at a variety of models when this one popped up and met my needs – many of the other models available for less money missed one or two of the essentials. Needless to say, it arrived earlier today and by tonight everything is running smoothly and my USB lava lamp is back in action.

Funciona perfectamente

This adapter arrived quickly, and I put it to use right away. It offers all the adaptions I need, minus the Ethernet (but I knew that when I purchased it). Data transfers quickly between my MacBook Pro and my USB, and I am able to use it not only with my SD card, but also my MicroSD card. I am even able to charge my laptop through it! It came with a slip with direct contact information should I need it, but I don't think I will as the product seems to be high quality. Would recommend!

I bought one USB-C with PD and HDMI adapter but it didn't function at all and it cost me 49,99€. The Razer Edge Tablet kept resetting and sent no video out. This Adapter from Acodot functions PERFECT! I am satisfied with it and I recommend it to anyone :)
