In terms of value for money it appears ok. I had no issue with fitting to my strummer.

Spool fits perfectly well into strimmer, cuts as well as the branded item

Works well but is short lived if it hits stone or hard surfaces which is difficult if you had sandstone edging. These are far too expensive for what they are and i would recommend shopping around for a bulk buy. I don't know if it is possible to obtain the string and rewind yourself as the spool is solid, designed to slot into the holder and then you just throw it away when the string is gone which is madness and possibly costly. I have not tried the allegedly harder wearing string as the reviews for that and the additional cost were not positive.

The spool that was fitted to my strimmer ran out during first use this year. I got a season plus a bit out of it, so was happy with that. I looked at a local store which could only supply non branded wire on what seemed to be a flimsy reel. This is good value; the spool itself is. Strong plastic which fits the strimmer perfectly. I've had no problem with the line. I think it's rugged. My garden isn't perfect; there are stones and rocks along the edges and a lot of heavy duty weeds like dock, nettles and brambles. It cuts through with ease and the self feed function works well.

This is standard replacement line for many B&D current models. I find that the line seems to break fairly easily and therefore I go through a lot of this line. I have recently bought a non-manufacturer heavy duty replacement line which I placed on these spools and this seems to fair much better. I spent time constantly checking the strimmer to make sure that the new line was not damaging the strimmer and feel content. However, if you want a standard product that you know has been manufacturer tested then this is the one to go for.
