Will never be without one again
The dehumidifier works amazingly well. It is not loud, and extracts a lot of moisture from the air. I primarily use it to dry my clothes, and depending on the amount/fabrics, a lid of washing can easily dry in about 3 hours (or 5 if I hand washed it all, and the humidity that day is very high). As the humidity has been quite high recently, Iโve found that the machine tends to collect just under a litre or water per hour, although it does work better if left to run for about two hours at a time (or more if required). When itโs been less humid, the water tank was still about 1/3 full after an hour. The air it expels is also very warm, so it will be great in winter. I measured about 45 Celsius just in front of where it blows out the hot air (the room temperature was 20 Celsius). You can position it so that it blows the air at a certain angle, or that it moves between some specified angles. There are three timers where it can shut off automatically, but it can be used without them as well. I have nothing negative to say about it. Itโs a good quality and cost effective machine that dehumidifies, and also works well for drying laundry, and very slightly warming up a room.

Look no further!
I bought a Delonghi DEM10 two years ago for drying washing indoors. A persistent condensation problem in the box room meant I needed a second dehumidifier. My starting point was the DEM10, but then I stumbled across these EcoAir dehumidifiers and there's no turning back - it's close to perfect. Other reviews have already done the machine justice so I'll just summarise my thoughts here. The good: - I love the fact that it blows air instead of just dehumidifying (as the DEM10 does). This is great for circulating air where there's a mould problem and also for drying clothes. - It really does dry clothes quickly if they're positioned next to the fan, partly because it blows warm air. - The fan can be directed as you like, or oscillated - The clothes-drying modes (max levels) have 2/4/8 hour timers to save the electricity - The lower powered modes intelligently blow air around and sample it to cut in/out as required to save electricity - Works at lower temperatures (down to 1 degree) so is versatile and can be used in the garage/loft etc - Aesthetically pleasing design - The water collection unit has a handle and lid built in, making it easy to empty without spilling water on the way to the sink - especially good for unstable/elderly people etc. Much better than the DEM10 which basically has a big bowl. - I've not noticed a large increase in electricity used in the first month of running. The minor niggles/points to consider: - I wonder if I should have bought one of the bigger models. This is nice and neat for a small room, but I wouldn't mind if the water collection tray was a bit bigger and it doesn't give the impression of being sufficient for a whole house. But that's my fault - not the machine's fault. - I'd quite like to have the option of using the timer on the low powered modes, but the intention is to run the machine all the time and it will decide whether just to blow or to blow and dehumidify. I guess this is still energy-efficient, but I like the idea of being able to run it in the eco mode for 4 hours each day while at work. In summary, if you want a small machine for a specific problem area in your house, this is an excellent choice and I don't regret my purchase at all.

Canโt believe how much water there was in my house !
Works really well and very easy to use. Astounding amount if water being sucked out. We are in a 3 bed house and it seems quite suitable even though itโs not that large. Iโve been emptying the water tray once every couple of days. I bought this model because it was small and quiet other models seemed quite large. Quiet in operation, similar to a light fan noise, we use it on the landing outside the bedrooms but on the lowest setting it would be fine in a bedroom providing a steady and low โwhite noiseโ effect. The water tray is easy to remove and put back, and with its removable cover thereโs no worry about spilling water when you carry the tray to a sink to dispose of the water. Iโve also used it on the laundry setting to dry clothes, that works well also. Main reason for buying was to dry out bedrooms to lower the amount of condensation on the windows on cold mornings, itโs cut that from the whole window being covered and dripping to just the bottom inch or so with a light misting. A couple of points to be aware of, they are part of how it works but you might not have considered this. First, it works to an inbuilt level of about 50% humidity. You cannot adjust this. So if you found that slightly too dry or slightly too wet you wouldnt, unlike on some more expensive models, be able to set the humidity level you want up or down. It seems fine for us. Next point, you canโt actually see what the humidity level is. I bought a humidity meter for about ยฃ10 which seems to work well which is how I know what the % level itโs setting is, otherwise Iโd have no clue. And of course Iโm hoping the humidity meter is working properly. On the upside the lack of settings make it a breeze to use. Switch it on, select high, low, or automatic operation (generally starts out high then drops to low when itโs reached the 50% or so), or a laundry setting, high or low. I think youโd only set the high level of operation if you had abnormal humidity. Ive been leaving it on auto. You can also adjust how the fan louvre swings (a lot or a bit) or leave it in any position youโd like by switching the louvre off when it points to where you want it. Otherwise it swings back and forth automatically. The filter is easy to hoover out but it doesnโt seem to have picked up much dust yet, maybe we donโt have as much as I thought. Would recommend unless you are someone that likes to tinker in which case consider a more expensive model with inbuilt humidity setting and display. UPDATE: is now getting the humidity down to mid 40's.

Simple, unsophisticated but doing its job properly.
I've had this product for almost five months now, and I've used it on a daily basis. I guess that qualifies me to share with you a few things about it. So, the good ones: - It does its job, which is to dehumidify the room. Not the best and brightest but it's working. So far, without any issues. - It can be quite quiet, when you set it accordingly. On "full throttle" you can definitely hear it in a room but it's not that bad. I couldn't sleep with it on, though, I had to put it on silent. And it worked, I didn't have to count sheep for too long. :) - There are timing options (2, 4 and 8 hours) which are useful when you leave for school, work etc.. - It has a "swing mode", when you can direct the air on a fixed angle or you can set the louvre swing about 150 degrees. In my case, I used it to vertically "swipe" a wall which had mold on it because the accumulated humidity- I placed the dehumidifier about half a meter from the wall and set it in swipe mode. I obviously cleaned the mold beforehand but it never came back. - It's a simple machine, which can be used in a "set it and forget it" mode, some people jsut want the job done and not work on it or tweak it every 10 minutes. - It's quite light, compared to other units I've had, doing a fairly similar job. - Last but not least, there is an interest-free Amazon installments buying, which can be very appealing for some people. Now, the things that I don't like - It doesn't have any indicator about the air humidity, you just have to trust the machine. I reckon this is it's just because it's so simple and designed for an user who doesn't' care about technicalities. Which is not me, I had to buy a separate Thermometer/Hygrometer, to check the status in my room and not just "fly by the instruments". - The water tank is quite small, it get's filled pretty quickly. For example, in a 3.5L/3.5W/2.5H room with a humidity of about 62-65%, in the "quiet mode", the tank would be full in about four to six hours. - The unit doesn't have a continuous drainage hose, you have to rely only on the onboard tank. Which can get filled quite quickly when the humidity is over 75%, and with the "full throttle" setting. From my experience, I would say less than an hour. Which, paradoxically, can be quite fulfilling, as you have a definite proof that the thing is working as intended. There are also some "gray areas", like the utility of that anti-allergic deodorizing filter. They say it masks unwanted odors and improve air quality. I'm not so sure about that, I still have to figure it out. Also, I have to mention I'm surprised that this item is shown as one that gets returned quite often. Um, maybe I am just lucky and my unit works like a charm. All in all, this device works for its intended purpose. At least for me.

Very satisfied with my purchase
I'm using it for 10 days now. So far no problems and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. Collects around 0.5-1 litre water after 2h usage. Very easy to use, not much confusing buttons. Just set timer and intensity. It is a bit loud and releases warm air but I don't mind. Good size, not heavy. Easy to carry because of handle. Comes with instructions. Spending ยฃ0.14 in hour. Only thing what I wish is longer cabel. It's around 1.5m but if I wish to use in middle of room then it's a bit difficult.

Love this machine!
Love this machine. Quiet, super compact and efficient. It has taken 3 solid months at maximum power to reduce the ambient humidity from the low 70s to a consistently low-mid 50s in my 2 bed flat but definitely feel the difference already and no more damp mouldy smells. The machine is sitting in the central hallway and is good at drawing the moisture towards it and pumping out the dryer air around the flat. The water collection chamber is small and I often have to empty the tank 3 times a day but admittedly this is very satisfying knowing that these volumes of moisture have been drawn away. Have yet to find out the effect of the power consumption in running this machine 24/7 but will keep you posted. The annoying triple click mentioned by some users is quiet feint and disappears after a while. Also, great for drying clothes. Was about to buy a tumble dryer but this does a very good job of drying clothes and sheets quickly, especially when placed directly beside or underneath the drying rack.

EcoAir DD1 mini
Slightly sceptical at first but makes a huge difference especially useful for speeding indoor drying. We have taken it away in our caravan in winter, leave it on low setting overnight and it completely eliminates condensation which would previously be dripping from every window and cold surface.
