Very effective in digestion and really helped my histamine intolerance.

I liked these, they seemed to help my digestion. The problem is the price is high for only 28 capsules and I have other supplements that I need to purchase. These will be an occasional supplement unless the seller can produce them at a more affordable cost for daily use.

These Gut Institute Bifido Maximus Ultra High Potency Probiotics for Women and Men did not pass my test for potency. I ordered these because I liked how they only had 7 strains of probiotics and seemed like a simpler form of probiotic to alternate with others but I just don’t think the value is there. They did make a slight culture when I attempted to grow it, but barely any and not enough for me to think they would be making a much of a difference in my body. With so many good probiotics on the market, I definitely would not choose these again.

This probiotic is packaged in a capsule and is not overly large so it does not get stuck in the throat. I've been taking probiotics for a while. I don't really notice a difference in the types of antibiotics as much as I see a difference if I quit taking them for a while. If on any type of antibiotics, I usually try to take at least a 2 months supply a couple of weeks after I finish the last of my medication. You do notice a difference as far as the bloating and the general unease when eating certain foods. These pills have an earthy smell but are not in any way bad or offensive.

Finally, histamine free strains of probiotics!! I suffer from a lot of allergies so I need to be careful of using any supplements with potential histamines. I love that this one has none of those and is also made in the USA! I really love that they are also veggie capsules and they don't have any bad smell or taste. It's interesting they not that these require no refrigeration (I didn't know you had to refrigerate supplements o_O)! I also like that you only need to take 1 capsule daily, which is great when you already take various other supplements. Anyway, I'm really happy with this supplement for everything it has!! :)

The Gut Institute doesn't seem to have a large market presence and I didn't see any mention of cGMP certification so I can't speak to quality control. They do mention that the supplement is lab tested, but the claim is unverifiable. The batch I received had a manufacturer date of 11/2023 (5 months ago), but no expiration date which is strange. As a long-time sufferer of digestion problems and daily fiber user, I'm always looking for supplements to help improve my gut health and restore my microbiome balance. I've been taking 1 cap/day of this supplement without issue. No stomach irritation to report. The formulation is fairly basic - 100 B CFU of various probiotic strains. There's no pre or post biotics included in it. The capsules they used are delayed release, which is good. The probiotics actually make it to where they need to, instead of being lost to your stomach acid. As far as value goes, the current list price of $56.99 is just too much for a less than a 1-month supply, especially when the formula isn't particularly robust. I think the company will need to come down to ~$30 to stay competitive. Overall I would rate the supplement 3/5.
