Good quality for money, cassette player and radio work well

The sound is terrible, sounds slow , and tone not right. I wanted to learn a new language . It is useless, I should have sent it back but couldnt be bothered.

Mine never worked..sadly I threw the box away ..couldn't exchange it

After almost giving up finding a good little retro player I came across this and decided I would give it one more try and I'm glad I did. Whilst the volume can't match others you can buy (but come on, how many of us had ghetto blasters in the 70s, I know I didn't as my mum wouldn't let me)! The sound it produces is not that bad and the distortion is down to a minimum. Yes, you get what you pay for but I think on the whole it's worth every last penny. The only little nag I've got (which is no biggie), I couldn't fathom out how to switch from am to fm and back. I thought you had to turn the little round switch at the front when infact it's a slide switch. Forget all the other little rubbish players out there, this one's a keeper.

First tape played for a couple of minutes then shredded tape. Tried another, just immediately shredded it, same happened on third attempt to play a completely brand new tape, so I sent it back. Got a full refund immediately so honourable seller. Sadly had to pay over £7.00 to return.

This was bought as a gift for my elderly mother, who enjoys listening to audio books on cassette as she drifts off to sleep. She finds this easy to use with clear buttons and does not need too much pressure, which she finds difficult as she has arthritis in her hands. The sound is good and the batteries are also easy to replace. This is my second one of these. They last well and are good value for money.
