Kilner Manual Coffee Grinder Jar Set, 0.5L

I like freshly ground coffee and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an electric coffee grinder so when I saw this I thought it would be great. Once I'd washed and put it together at the right consistency for me I found I could have fresh coffee really quickly and easily, even if you have problems with your hands it takes no effect so that doesn't stop you being able to use it, just turn the wooden handle in quickly you'll have enough for a cup of fresh coffee

I quite like it. My first spell of grinding - it smells nice. I like the crunching, the movement, the (mild) labour to achieve a result. I bought the beans of a ground coffee preparation I have enjoyed - the freshly ground beans prodeuced a smoother, subtler taste and texture.

Looks good but I've been through 2 of these now, the beans get stuck and then the mechanism breaks and you can't change the grind. Shoddy quality Also it suggests you store the coffee in a fridge on the box, basic knowledge of coffee storage is not in the fridge and away from daylight.

Thé Kilner coffee grinder is very good at grinding beans for use in either an espresso machine or a french press because of the adjustable grinding mechanism. The manual grinding process requires a degree of patience and muscle power, but if you incorporate this while waiting for your porridge to cook, the quality of a fresh coffee caffeine hit is time and effort well spent. In a rush?, buy an electric grinder.

I bought this version with the single prong washer. When assembled the way it is in this picture there is a design quirk with the handle which makes it grind inconsistently. If you flip it so that the handle and the washer prong are on top of each other, then when you apply downward force on the handle, it locks the gear that adjusts the grind coarseness so you get a consistent grind. It took me a while to figure that out, once I did I was able to get a pretty respectable grind for espresso, drip, and French press

Very nice looking good idea only trouble is when grinding the beans the edges are sharp could do with finishing of better at the factory

Used for 4 weeks and screws come off every time I use to grind coffee beans. Need to screw back together and dig nut out of the coffee grinds

Very difficult labour to even get one cup of coffee's worth - disaster buy and can't return as didn't keep packaging. Was v expensive, wasted money, will just be an ornament now. Getting an electric grinder.

Nice idea but no dice! It takes forever to grind coffee -- especially if you want espresso. The hopper and handle could use a storage bag and the jar is just a standard canning jar.

Exactly what I was expecting; looks and works great.
