FIFA 14 (Xbox 360)

This game is absolutely brilliant! I can't believe people are putting it down. The amounts of bad reviews I saw about this game made me think whether or not I should of even bought it. Thankfully, I took my gut instinct and bought it regardless to the bad reviews. I was never a great fan of the FIFA series (Mainly because I sucked at it) but this game is different to the other games in the franchisee. For starters, tactical free-kicks have been added into the mix as well as better player handling and of course the much loved Ultimate Team has improved continuously. The Ultimate Team is awesome. I ended up spending about £55 on a decent Ultimate team but don't let this put you off because I have been beaten by bronzes a fair few times:L If you are considering buying this game, consider no more just go for it. It's the type of game which will keep you entertained right up until the next title is released.

I have become a Fifa widow and I must say it's great to have some peace and quiet! I bought this for my partner and he spends hours in front of the TV playing it while I have time to relax, go for a bath, light some candles, pour some wine and watch one of my French films :) In his opinion it is the best Fifa to date, amazing graphics, loads of additional content and more to do from a management perspective as well as playing the games. Good soundtrack also.

I must start by admitting my last fifa game was fifa12 so if something that I rate as 'new' was in the last version I apologise. The first thing I notice and instantly like is the new menu system. While it did take me a little while to work out it now means I can get back to my career mode save in about half the time it used to take. I also found the interface well suited to displaying multiple tables, stats and messages together. The game modes seem largely unchanged except for the skills section which basically gives you a mini game to play while your next match loads or you can work through them all via the main menu. These were really good fun by and large, I wasn't a fan of the goalkeeping ones but I've always been rubbish at goalkeeping. The new music soundtrack is very good, but I was a little disappointed to notice a good number of commentary sound bites unchanged from fifa12. Even just a re-record to change the phrasing would have helped. But the addition of chatter about other games going on, player transfers and retirements, and player/team performance analysis from previous matches is a VERY welcome addition to the commentary to break up the stock phrases a bit. I really enjoy the new style of player control even if it still has its limitations. The players now all have the potential for sloppy dribbling which rewards harassing your opponents and then playing a good passing game, while it discourages the tediousness of each game being a case of get the ball and sprint over and over again, like it seemed to be in fifa12. It is a team sport after all! The referees are still a bit hit and miss. I would have prefered it, for example, if off-side decisions were a little more forgiving (when the game stops because your striker's little toe was offside it seems a little bizarre. But then, referees are a bit hit and miss in real life, so perhaps I should pat ea on the back for realism? One thing that I'm pretty sure was in older versions (fifa08/09 I think) that has made a welcome return is being able to qualify for your national team in career mode. It just gives you a better incentive I think. I do have to mention the odd strange graphical issue, like rogue hair bouncing around players heads and the subs board sometimes displaying green and red squares instead of player numbers but I certainly haven't experienced slow loading or anything serious like that. And so far I haven't had the score and the players fatigue bars disappear at random like I did in fifa12. All in all I would say it is a good version with the best of what we have had, mixed with some good new little touches, to make it a little bit slicker and offers some good fun new challenges to keep us going for another year.

I truly believe this is the best fifa yet! It is more realistic as it can go either way, it doesn't entirely rely on crossovers or finesse shots which I am thoroughly happy about. I know everyone is sick of hearing people saying about the next fifa being better everytime but I believe that this is the first fifa since about fifa 11 which has actually make proper progress in making it more realistic. Anyone who is wondering about this game being rubbish or not changing much, it has so buy it!

I pre-ordered this game as soon as it was up. I have had all the FIFA games and this has to be the best yet. I gave it 5 stars because no matter how long you play this game there is always something different or more challenging to keep you going. Ultimate team has improved alot. There is a few technical glitches with the EA servers but you can deal with it. I haven't stopped playing this game yet and don't plan to. I have recommended this to alot of people! I am looking forward to trying it out on the XBOX ONE. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

My Son likes to have the latest FIFA game each year. He is enjoying it immensely. It has to be said that i also have this game on my samsung galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition. It plays pretty much identical but is TOTALLY FREE - Sure there are micro transactions but there are in my sons, full priced version too! What's the deal there EA games?

The game is quite good. Graphic is better than before but it is not so easy to score. But you can modify your oppo's level to have better realism. In fifa 13 was too easy to win champions cup with a level 70 team, now it isn't. It is harder to defend but the gameplay is very good, a sensation of increased realism. Not 5 stars in Amazon because of the broken box (DVD was however safe).

This game has both improved and become worse for a number of ways. Once i opened up the game I was greeted by the windows 8 start menu, full of awkward sliding sub menus (it took me nearly 10 minutes to find how to start a new career after already starting another). Now my main qualm with the game is the Career mode, which should really be the best part of the game, but no. What they've done with the career completely removes any casual factor the game had. Instead of searching for a player by stats and having a browse through the players as in FIFA 13, you have to hire a scout, send him to look for players and then get him to scout each one further. You can't just hop onto career for a few games now, because it's become as in depth and tedious as football manager. When you actually get into a game, it'll feel a bit different to previous games. The new momentum feature is a good idea, making it difficult to get the ball with a fast player and just run at goal. However fast players seem to have been made faster, and slower players slower, meaning that your play will depend almost entirely on pacey wingers. Heading the ball has been improved to be much more responsive, with timing your jump and powering up the header becoming important. That said, if you do get a header, or any shot on target, it'll probably be a goal. I'm not sure what EA have done to the goalkeepers but they've given useless a new meaning. You'll often See the likes of Buffon and casillas charging out to claim a cross they have no chance of reaching, and flailing ineffectively at the air. You'll also find yourself screaming at the seemingly blind referees. Earning free kick is more of an achievement than scoring, many times a player will be sent sprawling by a boot to the face only for the ref to turn away ans charge off to cause more distress. Ultimate team hasn't changed much, which is always a good thing. except the cards look a little naff and chemistry has become unnecessarily confusing. There's new skill games which is nice, and the co-op seasons online is a nice addition. All in all, still a fun game, but marred by irritating additions. 7/10

Ça reste le meilleur jeu de foot pour jouer seul ou avec des passionnés. Mais pas pour s'amuser entre amis avec des personnes ne jouant pas régulièrement aux jeux vidéo.
