Bandai Hobby - MG 1/100 Astray Red Frame Revise

The package arrived with no visible damage and came within the expected delivery window, which was appreciated. This Gundam stands around 7–8 inches tall, and as an MG 1/100 kit, it includes a large number of pieces. It can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially for someone just starting out in the Gundam building hobby—this was my first ever build. The assembly process does take time, but it doesn’t take away from the enjoyment of the experience. In fact, part of the fun comes from opening each bag of parts and gradually seeing the model come together. Watching the design and color scheme take shape is very satisfying and rewarding. As with most Gundam kits, the quality is good but requires careful handling during assembly and extra caution when posing or moving it afterward, as the parts can be somewhat delicate. One downside is the included stand. In my opinion, it isn’t very sturdy and struggles to properly support the fully assembled Gundam. Overall, this was a fun and fulfilling build, especially for a first MG kit. The price is also very reasonable compared to other MG 1/100 kits, which can often reach $100 or more.

Amazing kit! So fun to build and the weapon is so cool. It has several transformation! It also comes with a base which most if the mg kits i have did not. Love the kit!!

This was my first MG kit. It was fun to build, but it was also really stiff and kinda flimsy. The hands especially could not hold any of the swords or the buster AT ALL without adhesive help. The crimson V on it's head also refused to stay one without glue. It's still one of my favorite MG's though.

Son really like this because it is a lot more challenging than the other builds he has done. Appearance is better than other MG's. Highly recommend.

Purchased for my 10 year old for his birthday. It was on his birthday wishlist and it was perfect. He builds them on his own. We did purchase nippers separately so I’d recommend that for a clean build. He builds them on his own and we (parents) occasionally help just with cutting the pieces. Some pieces he asked for help connecting but aside from that it’s a great build.

Love this old kits that is still extremely relevant today. Absolutely beautiful design, lots of parts in box. Suitable for those who enjoy the long building process!

This is a fantastic model kit, as I put a lot of effort onto it with panel lining and sticker/dry-transfer decals. Pros: A Samurai theme styling with katana swords is astonishing. Colour separation is unique with red and white. Old-school dry-transfer decals are a joy to put on. The big arrow weapon can be used as a backpack is insane at first. Articulation is quite good with a number of poses. Cons: Injected gold paint parts for katana swords (using a gold marker pen method is recommended.) It can be a little back-heavy with its big arrow backpack on, when trying to make it stand on its own.
