What does it mean bs32? we just replaced ours in the consumer unit from bs16 to bs32, does this mean i can use any type of appliance in the space now?

I'm not a qualified electrician....but all i would say is - you should replace like for like, rather than increasing the amperage of the circuit breaker. If your 16amp one is tripping - there is a fault with something on that particular circuit. You would not want to increase the amperage as this may potentially allow you to unknowingly overload the circuit and be dangerous to you and your property. I highly recommend you consult a qualified electrician. be safe - electricity is not your friend!
